“I stayed at Aura AfterCare for a double mastectomy. I was there for a few days. I am no stranger to nursing care and hospitals. After looking at their reviews here I was a little nervous, but I feel compelled to report that I never had such amazing after care in my life. My experience at Aura was exceptional not just good. Tatiana, Joanna, Alyssa, Cheyenne, Jen, Marina and I'm probably forgetting a couple-- were all superb. I have no idea who the chef was, but thank you also. The care was much better than over 20 other medical stays I have had throughout my life. To begin you have 1 - 1.5 private nurses to each patient. Each unit is only three patients. This makes for high level of care. While there I did have a medical issue that needed attention they all worked hard to help resolve the issue fast. There just is no way to really quantify that. It's words on a screen to the reader but if you are a patient than you understand. Healing can hurt. These people are lovely. The room was well appointed. I had a queen bed with lovely linens. Facts-- I probably would have slept well on a rock given my state, but this bed and the linens felt like I was a guest in someone's home. Of course I managed to spill my amazing smoothie all over them on day one! I also utilized the hyperbaric chamber a couple times during my stay. Highly recommend this. There is a reason elite athletes sleep in these. The process was smooth and Tatiana really explained what to expect. I'm normally a little claustrophobic, but there is a large window. Give it a try. Additionally the staff were exceptional with my guests. Having family and friends around during recovery is really important and the entire staff were lovely at accommodating them as well. Also the rooms are plenty big enough for multiple people. Honestly, I don't have a negative sentiment about my experience. Perhaps they are replacing some carpet soon? This was just exceptional all the way around. I had drains post surgery and drains are-- not exactly fun. They were again attentive and made sure I left able to handle what I needed to. I would definitely stay here again. In fact one of my guests is planning a surgery and will be staying at Aura AfterCare. Thank you to the group for all the support. “Luft is a great shop for road and gravel cyclists. I rented one of their Blackheart bikes and is was a killer gravel bike that performed beautifully on the road. Even better, I was able to get one of the employees of Luft, whose name is West, take me on a killer ride. West grew up in Venice beach and was like a historian of the Venice and Santa Monica communities and had lots of cool stories and information to share with me as we road through those two neighbourhoods. Then, he took me up into the Santa Monica mountains for some gravel that was absolutely beautiful. West was an awesome guide and it was an amazing way to spend a day! Thanks Luft!”

“*Please note this is a beauty school and all work is done by students being supervised by an instructor* This beauty school offers a variety of services including but not limited to haircuts, waxing, makeup application, blow drys, and facials. I was helped today by Melissa who did my Dermalogica Facial. The facial was $35. You can pay $5 more if you’d like and it includes a peel off mask. The facial was scheduled for an hour but she went a little over. I started off in the room by myself and then another guest was in the bed next to me but it’s so quiet it doesn’t bother me. I like that they share step by step what they are doing and explain the benefits of skin care. They have the haircuts on one side of the building and the facial and skin care room on the other side. Plenty of parking!”

“I have been treated by Dr. Stanley Steinberg for many years. I go when I have specific acute problems. Yesterday my back seized up after twisting to put my older 90lb dog in the car. Dr. Steinberg got me out of the worst pain and spasms. And I almost always call and walk in the same day when needed at the last minute which is great! Thank you, and to everyone at the office for being terrific, expedient and comforting. I can't recommend this doctor and his office and service enough!”

“Francisco & his wife (I’m assuming) were tremendous! In 31°F weather, I had been trying to access my property using every reasonable method possible (& I mean EVERY) for over an hr last night to no avail, with a 4 year old in tow. I called around for locksmiths for 20 minutes & every one of them quoted $175-$380 (& this was just for the bottom lock, NOT the deadbolt) or had no locksmiths in my area. I called Alpine a quarter to 8:00pm to my place in Top/Central AV. They responded right away & he originally quoted me the cheapest thus far. Took them about an hr to arrive. They were prepared, very friendly, & handled the matter with haste & care. Though it did take them about 30-45 minutes (it was such a difficult lock!!), they were steady-handed, focused, & worked well together. The woman was so sweet to my child. They got in with NO DAMAGE to my property & he also gave me 15% off on the service which he didn’t have to. Two things I’m certain of after this: 1) I have a very secure lock; even without the deadbolt in place! And 2) I would definitely use/recommend them again, without a second thought!”
