“I always get so nervous when it comes to having my blood drawn. Delia was so nice and very gentle. I did not feel when she started or when it was over. Checking in is so simple and easy. My appointment was at 2:00 but I was able to select an earlier appointment (1:30) once I got there. Staff was very friendly. Space was very clean. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Delia for making it such a great experience! Thank you to your receptionist as well for the lovely conversation as he processed my paperwork!”

“May I start by saying world class service and workmanship Ray is just a delight when it comes to get the work done and being a problem solver . His crew is very clean punctual and speak English . The office calls to confirm schedule and purchase material . Jennifer helped a lot with the financing and getting everything organized so we are confident with the project: Limor was an artist with bringing in all the colors , hardware , and material . Overall a 5 star for a white glove remodel project - look remodeling is not easy nor cheap but with level Up contractor you get a peace of mind - and most of all value for the project . Thank you and happy holiday to you all”

“Awesome little bakery that includes breakfast and lunch items along with your typical Mexican sweet breads. The tamales are exceptional. I tried the chicken (pollo con papas y chili) and the corn tamale (elote). I was surprised to find out my chicken tamale was also stuffed with potatoes and green chilies since they simply tell you it's a pollo tamale. That was such an awesome deal! They were 2/$5 and they were available pretty early in the morning, I think around 10 am. The masa (flour) was beautifully well-done. Soft and moist on the inside while maintaining a firm texture. Salted perfectly. Chicken had awesome flavor. Potatoes were firm and the way they were cooked matched the texture of the chicken and chilies delightfully. I haven't tried the other offerings at Continental but I would gladly go back. The ladies behind the counter were so very kind to the customers, too! I loved it and hope to return soon.”

“Peter is one of LA’s gems. Hearing him share his personal story and being guided through his space was so interesting. It was a great detour before dinner reservations. We called a couple of hours in advance and he was so accommodating and welcoming. He and his collection represent everything that makes LA great. He has art and fashion pieces that display the heritage of Japanese art and culture and others like the plastic food displays that hit Japanese American experience on the head. I hope to see his space replicated and pieces moved to the Japanese American History Museum one day!”

“I have known Yama and her family for many years. I had a good fortune to be among her first clients- from then to present time. Yama has added valuable aspects to her yoga classes - the Tibetan bowls and Meditation. She is a gifted instructor as she is skilled, gentle, knowledgable and aware. As an older person, I need these qualities in an instructor. Finally, Yama has helped me a great deal with my back issues, making my life so much better.”

“This is the original Hawaiian BBQ in this area. Others claim to be the original, but nope, it's this one! Food is terrific for the most part. I love the chicken katsu, their beef, and their shrimp & fish. Try the combo that comes with the chicken, fish, and shrimp! The short rib combo is great too. I think it's #8. Definitely recommend those. We didnt care for the beef curry too much. It was ok; the beef was juicy & tender. It just wasnt the sort of curry we were expecting. Be sure to ask for any sauces that come with it. You have to ask for utensils now, too - new law. Only two flaws about this place: The prices on many of the items listed on the menu were incorrect when we visited the other evening. The posted menu says one price, their registers will charge you a few dollars more. Hopefully they put a new menu up soon. The other issue is this place is next to a shop that looks closed down which makes the shopping center look run down, especially at night. This attracts bums which were loitering around the corner - NOT in front of L&L thankfully! An added plus, they have a TV which had a college football game on to watch while we waited for our food.”
