“Pull pork burger was deliciously greasy. Just the thing I wanted after a nice long hike at angel island. Caution it might be a bit too greasy for some people but it was great. Their nacho and Frito dishes come in huge portions too. Great for sharing with friends unless you are really hungry. Price is similar to that of an eatery around the pier. Not as pricey as I expected for this being the only cafe on the island. Minus one star for all the flies at the indoor sitting areas though.”

“Great place to relax after a run through the headlands. Some driftwood to sit on, surfers catching tasty waves, a fresh water estuary to explore, and a beautiful area surrounding you! The parking lot has showers, bathrooms, and water fountains. There are a few sporadic picnic tables strung about, as well. The drive to get there and back is scenic, too!”

“Amazing Campground! Need to reserve very early since it fills up fast. Incredible views! Lots to explore. Filled with history.”

“There is water and a very gnarly pit toilet available. Site #2 is great for several tents whereas site #3 is a great view. (I didn't visit site #1). Site #3 has a great view of the Bay Bridge and San Francisco but there is very little flat ground. For this reason I'd suggest #2 if possible. Regardless of specific site, you will be sharing the campsite with raccoons. The staff recommends leaving your tent unzipped while you're not at camp because the "raccoons will get inside it one way or another" and "it doesn't matter if you have food in your tent or not".”

“Had a great time here with my wife. We hiked the North Ridge + Sunset trail loop. The trails are well cared for and were not too difficult. The total hike took us just under 2 hours but we were moving fairly quickly.”

“Such a nice place to camp especially if you want to go into the city it’s only 15-25 min away! There is a steep hill from the parking area to the actual campsite but it’s so short it doesn’t really matter.”

“Fun place for kids. They don't have any discounts from other kids museums or zoos. There is a senior discount and an AAA discount. The under 40 inch kid area is a good place for smaller kids to play without having to deal with the older kids. The stream play area a big treat for them. Just make sure you bring an extra set of cloths or they will be wet all day. The provide aprons only resist so much water. Pack a lunch or buy some food from the Sprouts cafe and stay the whole day. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge is breath taking. A treat for the young and old.”

“Lovely little lighthouse on the bay. Dramatic walk up to the lighthouse with great view of Golden Gate. Dogs are not allowed but people still bring them but you could be refused and asked to go back. It also sucks for people who are uncomfortable around dogs.”
