“Wonderful caring teacher! I really liked the way John systematically and thoughtfully taught my daughter Megan. He made her feel safe and secure, which was exactly what she was needing. He also enabled her to grow in independence in her cello practice as he would write down homework expectations and notes for her each week. He also had a way of making hard things on the cello seem not so hard. You could tell he understood that learning is a process, and he discerningly and patiently helped nurture Megan’s cello skills each week. Megan and I both loved the duets with John and his cello, Buttercup. (Princess, the cat, was a great audience too.) It is also so rare to find a teacher that schedules group classes once a month to give the students opportunities to perform and learn from each other. It’s an extra effort that very few teachers do, but is truly good for students’ musical development and stimulation. John really cares about his students growth and development. We’re so glad we were able to take classes with him these past 4 months. Thank you, John. We will miss you!!!”
