  San Juan trail is not a dog trail. Mainly a mountain biking trail. It was nice but only 7.7 miles. Not 19.4 like it says on the all trails app.

  The camp ground is gorgeous! The sites are spread out nicely and in the winter if your out there, you'll be all alone. The stalls are clean and we'll maintained! Being a former park ranger, I can appreciate a job well done!

  The Blue Jay campground off Ortega highway in Orange County is first come first served, with lots of spots, well maintained, offers lots of shade, spacious areas to setup tents or short RV’s. Has potable water and restroom structures, none of those port-a-potties stuff. Bring insect repellent and warm gear depending on when you plan to go. Good hiking with some medium to strenuous trails. Saw some deer close by, but large areas were closed off this year 2018 as a result of the devastating fires in Holy Jim and surrounding areas. Close to a couple of small restaurants off of Ortega Hwy 74. No cell service so plan on getting lots of peaceful rest. Neighboring campers are quite respectful and friendly.

  Blue jay campground was beautiful ! Area was very clean. The campsites were very laid out. Has fire pit and grill. First day I saw a big coyote but besides that went on three hikes and very beautiful. No cell reception. 15 min drive to lake Elsinore if you want to recharge in the city.
