Small but very friendly environment that hook us in to try out 😊 It was late but it was too good to pass, so we decided to get small dinner 👌 We ordered Lasagna and Veal Cannelloni and both were AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS 😋🤩 service was great and it felt we were regular and treated as such! I will definitely go back to try out their Fettuccine Alfredo and their amazing looking deserts!”

“There's a museum inside, so when the firefighters open up the garage door you can go in and look at a bunch of items and pictures showcasing the history of the Newport Beach Fire Department. There is also a fully restored American LaFrance Fire Engine from the early 1900s, which is cool to look at. It's definitely one of the cooler things on the island if you are being a tourist for the day.”

Everything has been great. If you are staying home; order the pizza any way you want it. My wife and i usually order a large pizza and we split the pizza in half. She gets what she wants and I do the same. Delicious!!!!”

“Everything was perfect 👌 : the food, the service, the setting and atmosphere. Basilic is located in a posh area of Newport Beach, so walking around before and after dinner was a pleasure. I invited my girlfriend there as a surprise celebration of having been together six 6⃣ fabulous months, and she absolutely loved it! She asked me why I am being so nice to her, and I told her that it's because she deserves it -- as simple as that 😊. We shared a bottle of excellent wine 🍷, appetizers and entrees -- all cooked to perfection. The chef (Renaud ?) came out to greet us in person. We left super satisfied and we'll definitely go back. Basilic is now on my list of Google Maps Favorite places 😃.”

“Ventured out to Balboa for a quick honeymoon. This was the first breakfast/bakery place we happened upon and thank goodness for that! The cheddar, chive, and bacon scone with an egg on top was delicious! Highly recommend! And their cinnamon rolls are perfect for a shared sweet treat! The only sad part was that everything was so good, no photo evidence could be obtained in time to share. 😁 Maybe next time!”

Then I had the Sweet and Sour Pork and my husband ordered the orange chicken from the lunch special section of the menu. We drank water to go with the food. Enjoyed our time in Balboa Island with the lunch at the Shanghai Pine Gardens Restaurant. Would recommend!”
