The owner & his mom are so kind & engaging with their customers. If you come before noon, highly recommend the wakey wakey breakfast burrito (best in Orange County). They have a good selection of gourmet pizzas, tasty deli sandwiches, fresh salads & appetizers. Our family of 9 really enjoyed the crispy brussel sprouts, Poole Boys pizza & the award winning Big Blake sandwich. Our older kids really enjoyed the scenic patio seating out back while my wife and I enjoyed the comfortable indoor seating. We will be back! Highly recommend Tidepoole’s if you’re in Orange County area.”

“Mario's is one of those local gems, tucked away in a small shopping center at the corner of PCH and Superior as you head to the main beach. Locals know it, tourists stumble upon it but everyone loves it. They have a variety of Italian dishes and pizzas that are all made with love, passion and skill. If you haven't been yet, go. You and your taste buds will be very happy you did. If you have been there but haven't visited recently, go. They have redone the dining area and it's very welcoming just like the staff and owner.”

“Got water right away. Watched the waitress talk to a customer for 20 minutes & our order hadn't even been taken. Finally when my friend told the waitress we were in a hurry did she finally take our order. After order was taken food came out soon after. The food was delicious. If you don't mind the wait, the food is worth it. We went for breakfast. Prices are reasonable service was fine, and you get quite a bit of food for your money!”

“Well, it's the year of covid, so they were serving outside. In fact, it was actually nice to eat outside. The wait staff did an awesome job. Our waiter did a great job describing various menu items and checked in often. Everyone who helped us was professional and positive. The only reason for 4 stars, and not 5: A. No bone marrow! I loved it last time we ate at Mozza, so was looking forward to it. B. Couldn't sit at the kitchen counter and watch pizzas being made. To be fair, I realize these shortcomings are pretty much beyond the control of Mozza. In fact, I blame them on a certain CA leader responsible for executing his own personal autocracy in 2019. Will be back. Maybe Mozza can always offer outdoor seating after things get back to normal.”

“I don't want to insult it by calling it a dive bar, but that's the takeaway you get from it once you walk inside. However the food was pretty good actually. Bar staff was really, really good. My traveling companion I started off at a different restaurant for apps and drinks, but left because of service was so poor. This place is right next to the hotel we were staying at, and look to be where most of the activity was going on in the area (2 days of rain on SoCal made Newport a ghost town). It's funky, it's fun, and the staff is pretty darn good. I'd come here again even if it was just for drinks...”
