“Though the school has a bad reputation, it is actually a very good place! Lately, the school has improved a lot! We now have more academic resources such as the NAC, FMP, and Valley THINK. We also have academies that focuses on giving students tools that they will actually use in the real world. For instance, the New Media Academy has worked with Taco Bell to create emojies while the Culinary Academy has won various national competitions. There are also many student organizations and it is easy to create your own if you want to. Fights are rare and students are really united! Students have gotten into amazing colleges and won many scholarships such as the Gates Millennium and the QuestBridge College Prep Scholar. Teachers and school staff are dedicated and caring and there is always some adult staff who you can rely on if you ever need anything. The resources are out there! The students just have to put a little bit of effort, be motivated, and take those opportunities!”
