“This southwest cuisine is truly unique and worth the drive. We have been coming here for longer than I can remember and they’re delicious southwest food is just as good as it was 20 years ago. I’m so happy to see that this restaurant has stood the test of time. My favorite menu item is the chicken ranchero burrito, and my wife loves the crunchy tacos. I really enjoy the colorful and unique art inside the restaurant. Very glad to see they still have a salsa bar and their fancy soda machine is a nice touch. They have several different options for adult beverages and their outdoor patio seating is very enjoyable.”

“I've been meaning to write a review about Dr. Apar Bains for a while now. My family first met Dr. Bains when my husband called in for an appointment after years of neglecting his health. My husband liked him right away and he ordered a bunch of tests to get him on the right track with his health issues. I was looking for a doctor myself when my previous doctor decided to stop giving birth control as it opposed his religious beliefs. Unknowingly I also scheduled with the same doctor as it was down the street from my work. I found him friendly and caring right from the start but not so much that he didn't put me in my place when needed. Later, I took our 11 year old daughter to see him and she liked him a lot too, which was surprising to me as she can be very picky. In June, my husband had a medical crisis and actually died for ten minutes at the ER and was then in a coma for 2 weeks and in the ICU for a total of three weeks and just recently came home from all the hospitals and physical rehabilitation centers, after three months of recovering and having to relearn how to walk, talk and eat and all the other basics of life. I was shocked when I received a phone call from Dr. Bains himself that first week my husband was in a coma, asking how my daughter and I were doing and if there was anything him or his staff could do to help me. Every single week after that I heard from someone in his office, if not the man himself. That is unheard of, this kind of caring, this kind of follow up. I would highly recommend this doctor who has gone above and beyond to help my family and I. Making sure that we have the best of care possible.”

“Unfortunately, it seems a lot of dental practices nowadays are just there to make a buck off of people and don't really care about patients or providing good dental care. In contrast, Dr. Henderson really seems to care about and do right by his patients. He took time to recommend at-home procedures to prevent problems. He resells Rx toothpaste and Rx mouthwash at cost; I've never even heard of this before. He is knowledgeable about insurance (rare!) and even told me which insurance will cost me the least instead of pay him the most. He is a valuable find and well worth the 45 minute or more drive.”

“Josh and Aiden made my husband's purchase of new ski boots a pleasant, efficient, customer-oriented experience. When his boots cracked on day 1 of skiing, he headed to Parallel, where they were able to fit boots for his small-sized works. “Me and a group of friends had a really good experience renting a house in Truckee for a week from TurnKey Vacation Rentals. We found them to be extremely responsive to our needs. The check-in process was super-smooth and the information provided was very detailed. The house we rented was very clean and comfortable. It also had an extremely well appointed kitchen. At one point, there were five of us working in different parts of the house. Sometimes, we were on zoom calls at the same time. I would definitely rent again from them. I'm taking off one star only because an exceptional experience, at least for me, would require that we did not have to contact them for anything during our stay. Plus points for being dog-friendly!”
