The old dirt trails were nice but were often washed away and people doing shortcuts through areas off trail caused issues with the trails so staying on the wide paved pathway is good all the way around. The pathway is wide enough that faster walkers won't be hampered by slower walkers, strollers can be used for small children, and it is safe.”
