“Super cool trail and well marked. We did about 6.4 miles and it took 2 hours to complete. The blooms right now are amazing. According to the map it loops around. Not sure though. According to some other hikers once you get higher up the path it isn’t so well maintained. Maybe next time. And don’t forget your adventure pass or $5.00 cash. Luckily we met some really cool people in the parking lot that let us borrow cash. We repaid him via Venmo 😉”

The sandwich had a sauce on it which I forget what it is now but made it really good and the salad was full of good stuff and fresh. Weather was perfect and it came out in a timely manner. What else is there to say? I would definitely recommend and be back myself”

Thank goodness because I let my dogs off leash here to chase those squirrels. Are there people experiencing homelessness hanging around here? Yes but what can we do but accept their presence.”

As we were heading out there were a lot of families participating in some activities in the commons area. Very cool place with a ton of potential right next to the water. They had a bait and tackle shop and storage for RVs on site. We would love to come back from the east coast again sometime!”

Owl Campground

Address: Owl, Moreno Valley, CA 92555, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Nice campground. The camp sites are a little close for comfort - basically the sites are like 2.5-wide parking spots on either side of the main road. I can comfortably fit my 5th-wheel trailer with the slides out next to my pick up truck in the parking spot, but there’s no margin in between your spot and your neighbor’s. The full hookup sites have 30A and 20A electrical hookups and water, but the big downside is that the drains are only for gray water - you can’t drain your black tank at your site. There’s a designated dump station at the campground, but it’s a hassle if you’re staying for more than a few days and you have to hook up the trailer and drive over to the dump station and then re-park and set everything back up at your site. The views of Lake Perris are really nice and the campground itself is very scenic and well laid out with hiking trails and a decent beach. There is a bit of a problem with litter on the ground and in the water though. Prices are a little high with no weekly discounts, compared to other campgrounds and RV parks, but I guess that’s to be expected in California.”
