  Let’s be honest- if you’re driving all the way out here to hike you’re not a novice-so you shouldn’t have to be warned that this is a hard hike. Get here early as parking fills up fast. Would recommend!!

  Come EARLY! This place has limited parking that fills very quickly on weekends and even some weekdays. We got here around dawn and had no trouble getting parking and heading in. Don’t forget to fill out a permit if you’re headed in the wilderness area.

  Nice moderate to easy hike. First part of the trail is a very gentle ascent along a stream but the second half is a very steep climb made doable by a number of switch backs. The trail is very shady due to the many trees and you get some great views throughout.

  Lovely hike, weather up there was very pleasant, went on a 100F+ day but at 5000ft you really can't feel all that heat. The paths were well defined and clean, a lot of trees making the most part of the trail shaded. Be aware that the hike is very rocky and steep. There's a small river and waterfall that are beautiful to enjoy. Parking is very limited, you should get there early. Go prepared!
