We always enjoy visiting the Houses of Hospitality in Balboa Park. It's always great to see the local people out celebrating their heritage. House of England was having a spring celebration on the Sunday we visited, complete with a Beatles cover band, people dressed in period costumes, and tasty sausage rolls from the Shakespeare restaurant. Very lively. I believe you can check the park website for a schedule of events for Houses of Hospitality.

The House of England in San Diego is supported by members of San Diego's English Ex-Pats and English-Americans, who bring their culture and food to the delight of all who visit. The House of Pacific Relations International Cottages was founded in 1936 and housed in the historic 1935 Exposition cottages. There are Thirty-Two different nationalities represented. The individual groups promote multicultural understanding and goodwill through various cultural and educational programs that showcase the national traditions. These are truly wonderful little houses from our allies and others alike. I have enjoyed them all my life, one Sunday at a time.
