“There no place that gives you a better donut at a competitive price point. I vividly remembering running to get PQ donuts after 5th grade class. I’m 32 now and have lived in different countries and cities where I’ve sampled countless donuts/fried pastries. PQ Donuts is a humble business with an incredible, consistent product. Not campy or over-the-top, just the humble classics executed perfectly and deliciously. A must try when you’re in the area.”

“I chose a cake from the sideboard, I asked if they could put some decoration on it because my daughter wanted a unicorn party (but it couldn't because we are in quarantine) and she would only have one cake ... the cake was delicious ... the decoration It was perfect .... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE DETAIL ..... infinitely grateful for her, my daughter was happy with her cake”

“I feel like I have already rated this place so I’m not sure why it is asking me again but busy bees is one of the local bagel shops in the neighborhood. I believe it is one of the only ones. It is average. The bagels taste like they are old. They are not fluffy but not chewy or hard either. They are bland in texture and taste. They don’t give you a lot of cream cheese here and when you do ask for extra cream cheese they charge you $2.40 which seems like an exorbitant amount. They are definitely not friendly. However I continue to go back here because the bagels or average and basically due to limited choices in the area I find myself frequenting the spot. The veggie cream cheese is so delicious.”

“I love this place. As a plant based gal, I am always looking for a delicious dessert that meets my dietary requirements and I finally found one!! I love every single cookie I have tried. They even have oatly soft serve ice cream. Maya is an absolute boss and legend. She is so kind and sweet to her customers. And clearly makes the best cookies in town. The famous everything cookie is my all time fave!”

“Stopped into this hidden treasure in Normal Heights to buy a birthday gift and boy did I fall in LOVE with EVERYTHING. The shop has a cute aray of colors and Lee whom I assume is the owner was so AMAZING!! She explained the desserts, the ingredients, and offered us a sample. Her personality and spirit were definitely what you expect, especially since when you look at the art work on the walls and the vibe of the store. She was PERFECT!! She engaged with my 8yr old who acts 60yrs old talking about unicorns. Lee was nice enough to place the items I purchased which were the Cacao Now, Mustang Bar, Key Lime Mini Hug Cake, Triple Berry Mini Hug Cake, in a custom bag and She tied a bow on the top. Since it was a birthday gift it was PERFECT. Upon leaving the store Lee gave us the punch card for when we return. My sister in law who's vegetarian ABSOULUTLEY LOVED her desserts and said she will be checking it out in the future. Thanks Lee for your recommendations and for being an overall SWEETHEART..People miss the concept of being human and nice. If your looking for AMAZING vegan, gluten free, desserts THIS IS THE PLACE. Swing by and get you something good. I promise you won't be disappointed.”

“Sweet Revenge Bakery provided a cake for my baby shower and it was everything I hoped for and more! I selected the Neapolitan flavor with cream cheese filling and vanilla buttercream. Everyone raved about how incredible it tasted and I couldn't agree more - the flavors were excellent and the filling and frosting perfect. I asked for a blue and white ombre design and they did a really nice job. I will definitely order from Sweet Revenge Bakery again!”

“Hi quality and tasty. My favorite dinner food in San Diego. Wish I could get their food more often but dinner is only available on Tuesday’s. Gotta be quick to order for the Tuesday specials cause they always sell out. If you live close by you can get delivery. Owners and employees seem passionate and to love their work.”

“My friend and I finally came here after his persistence of a place with the best cinnamon rolls anywhere, ever. He is 100% right. The cinnamon rolls, and the brown butter banana nut muffins, are worth the trip no matter where you live in the area or if you’re just visiting. Their iced chai latte with oat milk is also good to go. The only thing I wish is that I came here sooner!”

“It's ethnic supermarkets like these that makes America beautiful. I am genuinely surprised at the extent of seafood and types of coconut offerings (grated, tender, etc.), even jackfruit and plantain banana to top it off... As someone from the southern tip of India (Kerala) this place makes me more happy than many of the Indian markets around. Philippines for the win!”

“These are seriously the best cookies I've ever had. My favorite is the sugar cookie by far. It's moist, doughy, and sweet with a surprising salty aftertaste that enhances the flavor. Every cookie I've tried has the same salty feature, something I haven't tasted anywhere else nor do I know how to replicate it. If you're still deciding whether to grab a box, drop what you're doing and get it. You won't be disappointed!”

“I flew all the way from South Carolina to try the new spring menu created with Chef Art. To say it was worth it is an understatement. I had the best flavored wings. The perfect Mac and Cheese. Phenomenal French onion soup and over the top truffle fries. The hidden alley dining was spectacular and well maintained in accordance to all the covid rules. I was absolutely impressed and I highly recommend that you try the place out too.”

“My butterfly locs are beautiful so pretty. The shop was very clean they check temperatures when you come in and everybody had on a mask. Customer service I give 10 out of 0-10. I did observe 1 client came in and she had a attitude with the front desk lady because she did not read everything on their booking site but that’s her fault for not reading ppl shouldn’t get mad at the business because they didn’t read. Other than that my visit was amazing I’m going back.”

“Haven't been there in a long time, but was in the area & everything made for a great experience. Wonderful customer service, a lot of options for walk-in purchase, and everything was delicious!! Bought the Swiss choc cake & everyone Loved it!!! Also bought some things for home: choc chunk brownies & love that too; a cinnamon pull apart bread, rasp Bavarian cupcake & carrot cake cupcake. I'll always remember my aunts bringing me there over 30+ yrs ago for the first time.. And I've never forgotten this place!!”

“Mango Ice cream and chicken poblano soup have me coming back for more! Found this little hidden gem behind bodeguita market yesterday. We went and ordered a sandwich and torta along with a small soup and mango Ice cream. The mango Ice cream tasted just like the kind you get at the border except this one was made extremely creamy! The chicken poblano soup was also homemade has an awesome flavor with it's bits of chicken, roasted corn, and poblano peppers. It was the main reason I went back this morning and bought the same order except everything in large instead. I also bought 3 large soups this time so I didn't have to share with my family members. I'm glad I found this place and plan on making it one or my hidden favorites of San Diego.”
