We were lucky enough to see a sea lion that swam with us for nearly a half an hour. “It's beautiful and chill. Perfect for a relaxed beach day out. The water is great for swimming and snorkeling. Sometimes there is a little seaweed invasion, but usually it's alright. You can sometimes see little tiger sharks swimming very close staying near the sea floor. But nothing to worry, they always keep to themselves.”

The Marine Room offered a great choice of dishes for Restaurant Week, so we took advantage of the occasion. We were not disappointed. The food was beautifully presented and delicious and the service was first class. Of course, the thing that really sets The Marine Room apart from other fine-dining restaurants I'd the location. Looking out the window directly at the ocean lapping at the restaurant (at high tide), is a beautiful experience.”

“We did a full week of wellness tour retreating with yoga in nature. Were so glad it's offered in San Diego so we can frequent more often. She brings Hawaii to San Diego. It was the best most unique activity we did on our recent vacation! Karen was an amazing guide. She showed us all the great local spots that were better than any popular tourist spots that we've been to in the past. The jungle yoga hike was especially meaningful and special. “This is a great hotel. I live in the area so I've never stayed there, but friends have and say it's great, and I have snuck into their pool multiple times, and have to agree. The location is great, both next to the beach and plenty of good restaurants. The pool is heated and they also have a hot tub and free snow cones sometimes. The employees are nice, even when they are kicking you out when you're not supposed to be there. Also, they let us keep our snow cones when they did.”
