“Come here for the fresh fruit strudel, and your day will be made. I drove out to Bonita just to eat the Hans & Harry's Bakery fruit strudel fresh. This place is worth the drive. There's tons of parking and you'll want to come here before closing to ensure there's still some strudel left for you to take home. Most people buy the big cake and take it to go, but they also have a few slices you can buy separately. Additionally, they have plenty of other pastries and desserts on display like cinnamon rolls, chocolate eclairs, cakes, cookies, etc. What's out in the display seems to be like what they have for the day. If it's gone, then it's out. I didn't know upon arriving, but once you get in, you have to take a number from the dispenser. This place gets crowded, and you don't want to get lost in the crowd when it gets packed. We were assisted quickly and the staff answered any questions we had. We ate our treats outside but once it was too windy, we took them back inside. There are a couple tables and chairs inside as well. Very excellent pastries! Highly recommend bringing the fruit strudel for your next gathering or party.”

(And a LOT of filling, too!) And the kids love the donut holes. I can't pass up the apple fritters. And the staff almost always seems friendly. Recommended!”

“I loved this place. I’ve been there only one time with my son his wife and my grandkids. It is clean delightful and very refreshing for a nice afternoon on Mother’s Day. 2018. I was hoping it would become a new tradition for Mother’s Day. But we didn’t make it this year. If your ever in the area. Make reservations and go enjoy yourselves to this wonderful place that is a 10 on a scale 1-10. It gets a five star from me. The atmosphere was beautifully decorated and the service was excellent and the food was delicious.”

“Been coming here since this second location opened in 2008. Truly excellent European style croissant pastries, and they roast all their own coffee in small batches - super fresh and tasty. Seating is all outside, on a cute little patio and front sidewalk. Baristas are always very warm and know what they're doing. Place gets busy, but they move the line very quickly.”

“I love this place. I happened by last week and stopped and scored a small bag of delicious baked goods. I'm not knowledgable about latin baked so some of the stuff was mysterious and delicious! I went back yesterday and did the same thing, experimenting with their offerings. They have delicious pastries and bread at bargain prices and the people who staff Su-Pan are friendly and wonderful. “It doesn't get much better than this. Thyme in the Ranch has delicious food with fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. The prices are a little on the higher side, but you're paying for the location (Rancho Santa Fe) and quality of food. Outdoor seating is great, especially when the sun is shining. The inside feels like a home dining room / family room, decorated accordingly. Order at the counter. Seat yourself. Sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts are all fantastic. Their Banana Cream Pie or Apple Pie à la Mode (pie served with ice cream) is out of this world. Their whipped cream is homemade, fluffy, and light, as it should be. I highly recommend.”

Cookie was blueberries and cream and ice cream was seasonal cinnamon something or other. Worth the price they charge and my family loves me that much more for bringing them along during our vacation in PB.”

“I love this delightful little place so much! The pastry choices are as plentiful as they are delicious. The dishes are varied from the normal hum drum every other eating place, so it's fun to go try new things. We love to eat outside, under the beautiful trees by the fountain. I think my favorite item is the trio of fruit tarts. We also love to bring extra pastries home, but they never last. Just to be clear, it's because we eat them, so I have no idea how long they could actually stay fresh.”

Normally you have to order cheese bolls in advance, but they had dozens just baked and ready when we walked in after eating next door at Erlindas which is also very good. I was pleasantly surprised when she told me the total for 1 dozen was under $10.00. Thats even cheaper than donuts and healthier too! I’m not sure why the other reviews are negative just because they charge a few more than their competitors. This is Southern California after all and people need to make a living!”
