“Kids of Poway is a heaven-sent childcare for my girls. It's been about six months since my daughters started attending KOP, and they LOVE their wonderful teachers and friends! The teachers, Ms. Irina and Ms. Nicole, are not only skilled and resourceful in providing a variety of learning experience for the kids (from reading, writing, arts & crafts to singing, dancing, and lots of physical activities!), but they genuinely care about the well-being and growth of the children and it shows. On top of that, they provide healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks! (The total package, I'm telling you). We feel extremely fortunate for having found Kids of Poway and are ever so grateful. They are a hidden gem.”

She was helpful in sharing the local vibe and gave suggestions which we checked out. I bought every kind of Sour apples. Local Ida Reds from the Volcom Valley, Local Rome Beauty, Local Empire, Local Northern Spy ( my favorite ), Local Libertys. These were absolutely delicious. Furthermore, the store was filled with deliciousness and filled with very unique and well curated items. I was so happy to have stopped. I actually first bought some, then ate two apples, then went back to get a bunch for the upcoming week. Thank you!”

“What an amazing flower shop!! This morning my uncle passed away, I contacted a couple of flower shops that lead me to a corporate business that could not deliver same day flowers. I found gem flowers on google (mind you I live up north) and the owner answered and sent me pictures of an arrangement within our price range while we were on the phone. Within a couple hours they were hand delivered to my aunt. Once delivered he sent me a text with a picture of the flowers and that they were hand delivered. What an amazing small business to support!!! I wish I lived local because you would be my go to shop! Thanks again to the owner during this time of grieving.”

After that, it was promises of free haircuts, only to have her not respond to any communications at all, email or phone. Stuck with a worthless Groupon thanks to her unprofessional behavior. Updated review!!! I updated this review some months ago and am deeply disappointed to see it not included here. Despite having initial troubles with DJ, we eventually connected and received an excellent haircut. DJ explained what she was doing, why I couldn’t go from the hair I had to the look I wanted in one visit, and broke down exactly how I could get the look I wanted. I recommend her to anyone in the area of her shop.”
