this is a must-go if you're in the area and need a break from the hustle and bustle of every day life. this was the highlight of my trip! so beautiful and breathtaking! part of it is definitely quite the hike so wear appropriate shoes for sure
We love this magical hike to the Labyrinth. The trail has some steps which can be a bit of a climb coming back up and I recommend wearing tennis shoes just because the sand on parts of the trail can be irritating. Overall, the windswept trees and views of the ocean and the bay meeting are beautiful. Plus, on a clear day you can see the Golden Gate Bridge. The only negative is that the main parking lot of the trail only has a poorly kept outhouse as it's bathroom facility so plan accordingly.
Loved the view. One of the best sunsets I have ever seen. The sea and colors in the sky are amazing. If you are in SF definitely recommend watching a sunset there. Loved the beach and the structure as well. It has one of the best views of sea in SF.
Moderately easy 1.5 mile trail hugs the coastline. Well marked, wide, groomed. Visitors center with food, beverages and restrooms. Easy public transportation from Union Square, Financial District. A lovely respite from the generally urban experience of SF. Also very close to the Legion of Honor museum. A well curated, medium sized collection of classical art. Fine collection of Degas sculptures.
Great place for a hike. Located in the heart of the city. It's a short hike, about 4 miles round trip, elevation gain is around 400 feet. Pacific coast and Golden gate Bridge views are worth watching during the hike. Great location for photography as well.
