“Excel Painting and Restoration has restored my faith in quality workmanship. Over the years I have become cynical when it comes to skilled craftspeople. My experiences have included people failing to show up when they say they will, not finishing the job they started, and just plain poor workmanship. I can't say enough wonderful things about Excel Painting and Restoration, starting with Bill, and the example he sets for his fantastic crew, Rafael, Kyle, and Ryan. The group from Excel showed up when they said they would. They were respectful and kind, and left the work area neat and clean every day. Within the first few days of the painting project I realized that my house had NEVER been painted properly in the past. The amount of time designated for prep work was astonishing. Bill was so helpful when it came to the final color selection and placement of accent colors. He was also able to have new gutters and downspouts installed and re-configured to minimize rain contact with the house. As the house was being painted I realized that the old hardware on the door, outdoor lighting, house numbers, mailbox flap, and some window screens looked terrible with the freshly painted house. Bill readily replaced the old with the new. He kept a smile on his face, and his wonderful demeanor continued throughout the job, despite several problem areas popping up as the job was being completed. This is not an inexpensive paint job, however when looking at the quality of the final outcome, there is no doubt in my mind that I received more than I paid for. As long as Excel is in business, I have found my life-long painting contractor. Bill and his crew are a true pleasure to do business with.”

“It was an agonizing, consistent pain that ran across my shoulders, extending to the elbows, and down the upper part of my spine. It was an injury sustained a year ago after I heaved my Xmas tree onto a recycling pile, causing a slipped disc. I was fine until I started moving furniture around to clean house and rugs. I had deep massage therapy at a women’s hospital-affiliated center, which made my pain more intense. My daughter’s neighbor does acupuncture, and she gifted me Dr. Craig’s services since he has an excellent reputation. I was very skeptical, but also desperate to have some relief from the nagging pain that kept me up nights and caused me to take Advil and extra strength tylenol over and over again. Dr. Craig made a 40 minute house call and stuck me with needles up one side of my spine and down the other and several other places like my hands. I lay there on his traveling table for at least a half hour. Dr. Craig is very pleasant and warm. He told me after he removed all the needles that I should feel results of lessened pain after 6 hours. It worked, and in 6 days, my constant pain was gone, esp. at the site of the slipped disc. “The Inn at the Presidio was a perfect place to stay. The Presidio itself is beautiful and calm, you kind of forget about the busy streets of SF whenever you are here. But the Inn is worth every single dollar. The Deluxe King room on the 3rd floor was perfectly sized and extremely comfortable. The decor is simple but definitely feels perfect for the Presidio itself. The fact that we could open the windows and let the breeze come through the entire room, or turn on the fireplace if we got a little cold, was a wonderful addition. The more private feeling of parking was wonderful, too. Every person, even the wonderful women of housekeeping, that we have encountered has been so incredibly warm to us. It is just the right size to not feel like you are staying on top of another guest but small enough that the service feels personal. Most definitely will make this our go to place to stay the next time we come back to San Francisco.”

“As this part of San Francisco doesn't have a Buffalo Wild Wings or anything of the sort, Original Buffalo Wings came up as a wings place according to Google Maps. It is a much smaller business but they do have a range of different sauces to choose from. Less ability to get a range of different sauces if you're getting smaller amounts, but the wings tasted relatively good still. It is a bit more out of the way if you're coming from San Francisco city area by public transport, but definitely doable by bus.”
