“I won't say this place isn't for locals, it's for everyone that want to know more about ships from the past. Kids may like it if they can get their hands-on experience. Bring binoculars and bundle up, it gets colder by the hour in the evening. I come here to self meditate or when I need quiet time to finish up report. Be careful where you park as break-in are rampant in the city no matter where you are.”

“Awesome experience! Learned quite a bit about the Rock. Don’t miss the audio tour, it makes Alcatraz come alive. You get to hear about this prison from not only past guards, but also from past prisoners. Hearing the cell doors mechanism open and close, will give you chills. Did you know Alcatraz was occupied by Native Americans, for a period of time?”

“Parking was somewhat a hassle because there’s no signs to direct the visitors. The small shops (coffee and gift) right by the bridge close early so we were unable to purchase anything there. Also, you may get a ticket passing through the bridge so just be mindful if you’re driving or on foot. However, it’s a spectacular experience and beautiful view.”
