“My two youngest daughters have gone there, the middle one graduating to Parkside last year, and the youngest one will be there for another two years. My experience with the school staff has been pleasant and they have earned awards for excellence on a number of occasions. They changed Principal a while back and that does change the atmosphere a bit, and like most schools they could use a larger budget. I will say the office staff have always been great, and my experience with the teachers has also been good. To be fair though, not every kid is going to get along with every teacher. Access is relatively good, though like most schools they can get kind of crazy during drop off time and parking can be a pain when there's a school event. All in all though, I consider Portola a good school and my kids have been happy there.”
