The opportunities the students have for exploration through open ended play starts in the classroom and extends in to the yard, across the meadow and stream, down hiking trails, under rocks, in trees, on stage,and sliding down hills. Co-oping in the classroom once a week is such an honor. The first five years of my kids life is so short I feel so lucky to be able to learn together as they navigate early social interactions with their peers. My oldest will be heading to Kindergarten in the fall and will miss all the BH mud and glitter... although I am sure his two little brothers will share some with him after school.
