Mills Canyon Park

Address: 2930 Adeline Dr, Burlingame, CA 94010, USA

Park

“What a gem hidden away in the residential hills of Burlingame. In an instant, you are transported to a different world almost. It's amazing how isolated and serene the ~1.25 mile trail feels and all you hear is birds, rustling leaves, and the wind. As you descend into the lower part by the canyon, you can also hear the gentle flowing water. The vegetation is completely different at the different levels of the loop making it more interesting. The trail itself is not difficult for a person with average fitness and even children (not small ones) but very narrow overall and gravelly in places. Also the brush comes on to the trail in many places so we were concerned about ticks. Overall, a charming quick hike to get some exercise and experience a slice of nature! Highly recommended but preferably not alone or near sunset hours. We didn't see a soul in the one hour we spent there although there were fresh footprints. There was also a coyote warning that kept us a little bit nervous plus it's not too far from mountain lion country (although probably never spotted in this park).”

Montara Mountain (Top Of Mountain) Trailhead

Address: N Peak Access Rd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019, USA

“Excellent hike above Half Moon Bay- 8 mile round trip that is mostly inclined the whole way with sweeping views of the ocean. Excellent for hiking, biking or showing your dog the great big world!”

Waterfall Viewing Point

Address: San Pedro Ave, Pacifica, CA 94044, USA

Park

“It was really foggy and misty when I visited this view point and the view was just amazing. Unfortunately, there was no water flowing down the waterfall. Talked to a few locals and found out that hardly there is any water flowing even during regular rainy days. Nevertheless, it was a lovely hike and I had good time at this spot!”

Seal Point Harbor Dog Park

Park

“Great dog park! Really spacious. If your dog loves the ball there is plenty of room for a good run. There is a drinking fountain that has sidewalk, short and taller access. At the entrance are two hoses. On the day we were there, the owners were friendly and all the pups well behaved. There are restrooms. I was told the men's wasn't in top form. But the women's was fine.”

North Trailhead Of Sawyer Camp Trail

Address: San Francisco Peninsula, California, Millbrae, CA 94030, USA

Park

“One of the best places in the Bay Area for a nice smooth bike ride on the downside you now have people walking through the trails like they're inside of a part but it's not a park it's a trail system. In other words the pedestrians are now blocking the path of serious runners cyclist and doing so knowing full well that they were obstructing the path. Stubborn people or what's up with that”
