“There is a shortage of space for tournaments so parents pretty much have to wait in their car in the parking lot. The people running the activity seem to be sticklers for rules, which might explain some of the bad reviews. My son has participated in simultaneous games, drop in lessons, rated and unrated tournaments, summer camps organized by Bay area chess over the years in San Jose, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, Milpitas locations. We have experienced no issues. As for the chess lessons, the instructors lead discussions for the most part or play group games, so it will be less useful for a child who is shy or sitting passively or not showing initiative.”

“Dr. Peter Hung-Kwong Wong is fantastic and he has been my family doctor for over 15 years! Not only is he knowledgeable and has excellent clinical skills, but he treats his patients with much kindness and patience that sadly is not as common in healthcare anymore. I always felt listened to and really appreciate how he takes the time to fully understand my concerns and answer all of my questions. I'll always remember how Dr. Wong took my mother's chest pains seriously and got her to see a cardiologist asap (we eventually learned that she did have a serious heart condition that needed a procedure done right away), he helped diagnose my father's cancer, and always treated my grandparents in a warm, kind and respectful way. The list can go on. Looking at the other reviews, I understand and agree that the office seems to cater towards Chinese speaking patients. My parents and grandparents speak Mandarin Chinese, so this was a plus for my family, but I can see where there might be misunderstandings and/or miscommunication and cultural differences for those who do not speak Chinese. For wait time: Sometimes I'm seen right away, but usually I'd have a 20-30 minute wait. I'm willing to wait to be seen because of all my previous positive experiences. Overall, I have a fantastic experience with Dr. Wong and his office and would highly recommend him as a primary care provider (!), especially if you or your family member is of Chinese heritage.”

“I have been going to chiropractors since I was in my mid teens, so about 35 years now. When traveling to California for work I ended up throwing out my back at the hotel gym. Dr. Scofield was able to get me in on short notice and I'm so glad he did. I can honestly say he is the best chiropractor I have ever been to. He was extremely through, did a full body adjustment, quickly corrected my issue, identified several other areas that were not as they should be, and was able to help me identify the root causes of some of my pain points. He was able to give me advice on how to avoid them with minor changes to my day to day positioning when doing computer work, and some stretches/activities that would also reduce the issues. I can honestly say that if I resided in California he would be my permanent chiropractor.”

Whilst walking down Big Basin waiting for our reservation at The Plummed Horse, we came upon this treasurer of a gallery! We were there so long we were late for dinner. BUT, the best part……I now have a jewel of a painting in my “modern art hall”. It’s a large one (4’x4’) and it dominates the space and I can’t stop staring at it. I’m in love! The moral of the story……whilst waiting for your dinner reservation, walk a block or two down and stop by Arte Haus of Saratoga. The inventory moves, so I stop by whenever I’m town. Thank me later.”

We also got bed sheets that were great! The store is clean and the staff was knowledgeable, nice and friendly. “Sushi Heroes is my go to spot to fix my sushi needs when I want to indulge and not feel unsatisfied. They are a ghost kitchen that serves single rolls to platters and as you can see here I usually get the platter to feed multiple people at once. This is a good tray to bring to a potluck with friends & coworkers. The sushi is always fresh and they got a wide variety of rolls named all superhero’s from marvel and dc. If you want there’s benches in front you can just order, pick-up, and eat right in front. However depending on the time of day you may get some sun in your face. This location is in a warehouse plaza that has what looks to be some sort of machine business next door so it may confuse you so follow the gps and look for the signs. They separate the type of rolls into categories like fusion rolls, avenger rolls, side kick rolls, etc. So when ordering a platter the price will vary. Roughly 40-80 for 5 rolls & 125-140 for 9 rolls. My only issue with this is because majority of rolls have nicknames to them, when ordering in the app it doesn’t really tell you what’s inside the roll, only the name. So it’s wise look at their menu first to see the ingredients if you order online.”
