I think is a great place for young kids to see the animals and feed them and have fun. I like going with my niece.
The farm is located at the foot of beautiful hills. Children would enjoy watching and feeding the Ostriches, horses, goats etc. Entry fee includes a small bucket of animal feed. They have a gift shop selling toys, souvenirs, hats etc. On the down side they don't have a proper restroom for the customers.
It's a great little farm. Filled with animals whom you can feed and watch their interactions with each other.
It's fun watching their movements and how they interact with each other.
Theirs an assortment of animals and majority of them can eat the same diets. But please follow the sheet they give you which tells you what animal can eat what.
Have fun! 🤣
There was a ton more variety at this ostrich farm compared to another one we've been to. The entry fee provides you with a small pail of alfalfa and pellets and you can purchase more of those or chopped vegetables to feed the animals with. There's portable toilets near the entrance if you need it (customers only). Hand washing stations are sprinkled throughout the property. The animal themselves seem in good health, too. I do have to say that the animals here are more pushy than I'm used to. Like the goats will nab the whole pail of you're not careful. And the ostriches are much larger than other ranches, so they come at the tray with more force. So, a word of warning if you have kids feeding them. Ultimately, it's all good fun and a great experience!
Our first time visiting the Ostrich Farm. We purchased our tickets on line, saving $3 per ticket. We ended up passing the farm on our way there, a big rig was driving behind us so we didn't feel safe making a quick left turn into the parking lot. We just drove up a little ways and turned around when it was safe. The staff is very friendly and let us know all about the animals. We were each given a bucket with pellets for the big birds and alfalfa for the farm animals. We also purchased a bag of carrots for the animals. We were able to pet the baby goats on our way out of the barn and saw a variety of snakes, turtles and bunnies. We started off feeding the Llamas and sheep. The animals were very friendly and we were able to pet most. So much to see and feed, we really enjoyed ourselves. We purchased fresh chicken eggs on our way out. We definitely recommend taking children to experience all the farm animals. 👍
