  The best chinese food in the area! Hands down. Took the family there fornlunch today after church. There's a distinctive neighborhood spot feel to the place. Lots of regulars. Seems to be a favorite of many. Personally, from the small bowl of complimentary soup we received right after we sat down, to the friendliness of the staff, to the fact that they packed our leftovers away for us right at the table-- it all made for a great choice for lunch for us. Then there's the food! So fresh, hot, and delicious. Walnut prawns, fried chicken wings, and probably the best chow mein ive ever had honestly. My highest compliments!

  Absolutely a spot worth trying, the food is great and fresh, the costs are fair and it is regularly clean in here. Keep it up.

  I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years and finally writing a review. Although I live near downtown SJ, we sometimes drive 15 miles just to eat at Golden House! Excellent Chinese food at a fair price. The Mongolian beef is the best around in my opinion and the Peking ribs are crispy enough on the outside and tender on the inside, never dry or over cooked. The fried rice is also very flavorful and never dry.
  
  It’s a casual atmosphere with five star food. The same family is here and are very friendly and helpful. If you’re working in the area or headed south and are hungry, do yourself a favor and try Golden House! You won’t be disappointed.
