A great hiking area with some great scenery. There are various trails and the main one follows Fall Creek and leads to a few historical sites. The landscape is beautiful and in the fall the colors are amazing.
In A Nutshell:
-Fall Creek is a nice place to hike under many shaded areas.
-It's only a 50 minute drive from San Jose.
-The parking lot is small which is good, since that means less people on the trails.
-There's probably room for about 25 cars.
-You'll find many young families taking their kids out into the wilderness, but not enough to annoy you.
-If you like seclusion & privacy, this is the trail for you.
-Beware of poison oak it's all over the place!
Overall, Fall Creek is a nice place to gets your steps in w/out having to deal a ton of people.
The day I received my forever loved sweet furry baby Torii San Lynn Myers...I took her here to reveal this beautifully done box, (via the very caring vets in Felton,
I took her with me under the trees sitting her in my lap arms around her, with the beautiful sun shining in on us....that place now hold a very special Memory for my Torii.
❣⛩????⛩❣
Sending love to any and all furry parents out there that have gone through losing your beloved best friend....
In our hearts with us always. ????????????
Very beautiful place. The hiking trail is highly shaded.
I walked along the stream and crossed some small bridges.
The stream is very shallow and the water is very clean.
Note that there's no restroom.
One of the most beautiful places in California in my opinion, the sprawling redwoods and river running through are amazing sights to behold with plenty of places to sit down and just kick it in the middle of hiking. It's also big enough that you can take a hike and not run into anybody the whole time, overall top notch woods
Fall Creek Hike. Fall Creek unit, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Lauren. Cynthia L.
Saturday, September 13, 2003 Fall Creek Unit, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. If people don't want to do the whole loop, some or all of us will just go up the creek and down again - perhaps waiting to join up with those that do the whole loop.
