“If you want to step back in time, visit this little gem of a library in Ben Lomond. They still use a card catalog, the librarian types on an IBM Selectric typewriter, and they rely on volunteers. They have a special section for local history, with magazine articles about locals such as Coffee Corner and Rowardennan. Do not expect any newfangled ebooks or scanning devices. Your library card will be carefully typed and then handed to you. Not to be missed.”

“Has a very nice picnic area with a basket ball court and a play area for children. Will be much nicer when the trees have grown enough to give shade. Very hot in the summer. Would be AWESOME if they would damn up the river again for swimming. Then it would be perfect”

“I've been going to Ease Mountain since its inception, and it has grown like crazy--with good reason. Juko Holiday, the owner, has created an inclusive, welcoming community. Juko is definitely an old soul who inspires her students to bring their best to the mat. You will leave Ease Mountain feeling lighter and happier. Highly recommended. By the way, the apricot-colored rose is from the parking area, which is usually filled with beautiful flowers.”

“Paradise retreat is a very unique place. Great hospitality! Campsite is set and ready to go. No need to bring your tent or rv. Tania has it set up and ready when you get there. The only items that necessary to bring is clothes, food, and toiletries. The heated pool is awesome, as well as the hammocks. This place is peaceful, not packed like some of the Santa Cruz campgrounds. Can have campfires, propane only. Nice to wake up to a course of birds. Snoopy and Douglas (host cat and dog)are very friendly and loveable. The only drawback is the showers only privacy is curtains. This is going to be are usual summer camping in the summer It will be a summer ritual. Great for the whole family! Tania, Marshall, Douglas and Snoopy are awesome host!”
