“This is our new favorite place! We had to come back to back from Father's Day to a following Birthday, as there was no comparison! Their steaks are absolutely cooked to perfection. Everything is fresh and so good! Their Mud Pie is out of this world! They have a good cocktail menu. The tables on the patio are right above the water with cute string lights. Stay after and explore the river, bridge and trails! The service and family friendliness is superb! Everyone works together to make sure you're having the best service. It's also dog friendly on the patio. We have yet to stay in the lodge, but hopefully soon!”

“A true hidden gem of a campground. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. Very beautiful and at night the stars are incredible. Be prepared, no on-site water and the campsites are a bit close together and have slope. As long as you know these details and are ok with it, you will love it. The camp host was lovely and the scenery can’t be beat.”

“The campground was very clean and the grounds keeper and store clerk was awesome. This was our first time out in our new to us RV to try things out. Charlie was so full of knowledge and very helpful. If I only 1 issue it was the campers across the way playing music way to loud, but remember I was young once too. Still should have been more respectful to others”

“Was a great place to camp! Wish we had a bear box in place. There is no running water so pack accordingly! Also apparently the fire pit closer to the bigger bathroom is historical and you're not supposed to use it.”

“Stayed in an RV here. Excellent sites with fire pit, fairly easy to maneuver inside the park, very friendly and excellent staff. All RV sites come with a picnic table and fire pit. Quiet, friendly park. My ONLY issue was the hot water in the showers took about 5 mins to come on and the water pressure was terrible.”

“I'm originally from Charleston South Carolina and got an itch to go camping while out here for work. One of my students of whom I was teaching recommended Sequoia National Forest as a place to start. I've always wanted to see redwoods and since I'm here for 3 weeks and have nothing left to do on the weekends, I decided to make this place my choice. I hopped on the app and kind of searched around and found a few places I like but frog Meadows kind of stood out. It took approximately four and a half hours from Oxnard to get there. Once I arrived in some small town I began my truck upside the mountain. The roads were definitely windy and excessive speed is not recommended as there are many blind turns. Once you get up to the point where you're entering the campgrounds there is about, I think around an hour and a half worth on dirt roads. The dirt road is very narrow and decides to go down to a steep degrade. But that view tho was incredible. I arrived in a car, so the road wasn't that bad.”

“We loved it. This is a very rustic cabin that sits amid a small cluster of vacation cabins just a stone's throw from the California Hot Springs Resort where you can soak in the hot water for very reasonable admission price. The cabin has a small full kitchen, LR, dining area, one bath, and two bedrooms one of which is bunk beds. Nice deck out back. The nearby Resort serves breakfast and lunch but closes in early afternoon, and other nearby restaurants are not to be had, so bring groceries. It 's about two notches up from camping, basically. Very beautiful area. A deep gorge and musical stream bed right out back, crystal clear dark skies at night, no cell service or internet, a closet full of good old board games, and convenient to the giant sequoias about 15 miles up the mountain. Chuck leaves very detailed and explicit instructions everywhere which I suppose puts some people off, but he's just trying to watch out for his place and it cant be easy or economical for him to get up there and fix things all the time. My 20-something sons were aghast when we first arrived but ended up enjoying it immensely. It reminded my wife and I of rustic family vacation rentals in the 60's.”

They have taken all the amenities of camping and made the not so pleasant parts a pleasure.... it has everything at your disposal from rafts to bikes to swim shoes just a nice experience all around. The camp host was a pleasure aswell.... She was attentive and friendly and I highly recommend this place .”

“My mother lived at this mobile home park for many years . My brother now lives there. The spaces for homes are large and homes are not on top of each other. The residents are very friendly and have very attractive, individualized landscape areas around their mobile homes. This facility has been well maintained over the years and doesn't show signs of neglect or need of maintenance. The grounds have man-made ponds and streams running thru out the facility, creating a very relaxing and inviting ambiance. The only negative thing I can say is that the ponds and streams attract wild geese which poop all over. The managers do their best to keep things clean, but it is a challenge. Some residents feed the geese, some say don't feed the geese so they will go away...”

“We camped with another couple at a nearby campground and came here our second day. Pros: -It was great to use a real bathroom. -They also have showers in the locker rooms. -Their mini store has odds and ends we wound up needing. -Salted Caramel Ice Cream was delicious -The main pool felt great. -Did not smell sulfuric and water was super soft -Free water was available in the store for swimmers. -Perfect for the day after a hike to sooth muscles. -Had no issues with staff. Other reviews mentioned bad attitudes and discrimination. We were a mixed group of races. The ladies were not overly nice but weren't rude either. They were very matter of fact but I tend to like that about people. Other Facts: -We went on a hot day, bring sandals to wear up to the waters edge. We burned our feet. -$20 per person to swim -Hot Tub closer to the road seemed much hotter -They do not allow dogs (even well behaved on a leash tied up). This is a great stop, especially for anyone camping at one of the dry campgrounds like we did. It may not be the Hilton of hot springs for some, but for us, it was perfect! Thank you for a great time, we'll be back.”

“Stayed with friends at spots 18 and 19 in early October. We had sites closest to the main road which turned out to still be pretty quiet. We could hear the Kern River down below, and an easy minute or so walk down proved worth it. There was a bit of foot traffic by fisherman down the path behind these campsites, otherwise they were very private and were roomy with plenty of privacy. Bathrooms were close and fairly well-maintained, and a short walk away was the "Croc Rock" which was a fun surprise. Highly recommended!”

“Quiet Mind is a hidden gem in the beautiful Sequoia National Forest. My husband and I had a rejuvenating weekend enjoying the gorgeous hotel property and surrounding area. We had a great hike at the Trail of 100 Giants, which is only 5 miles away. We stayed in a room in the charming main lodge which was built in the 1930s. The room was cozy, clean with a really comfy bed. Nancy and Ray were friendly and responsive. Highly recommend - plan a trip here!”
