“Nice spacious campsite, room for several tents. Two fire pits, two grills. Large tree and creek through camp. *WARNING* Be careful anywhere on that trail, especially right alongside the creek. There is poison oak all over the place. Before you go, familiarize yourself with what poison oak looks like and avoid it at all costs. I've been pretty miserable since my trip.”

“I have lived here for over three years...I love that we are steps to Leucadia Oaks Park, close to places to eat (Fish 101, A little More and Pannikin, just to name a few),shops and three blocks from Grandview Beach. The trailer park has made several upgrades, like a sweet place to play Cornhole, also a Doggie corral for your pup to relieve himself, There are showers and a laundry facility(just make sure you have lots of quarters). Those of us that have decided to make TR our home are close as a community...as in all communities there is the occasional drama, but manageable. For me, my husband and pup we call this HOME!”

Mountain Valley RV Park

Rv park Campground Park Lodging

“This is such a neat place to RV! You can sit next to your rig with your morning coffee and watch the gliders. The sites a good size, but bring a rug since they are mostly dirt and (little bits of) gravel..The restrooms and laundry room are sufficient. One evening, we were awakened by some very bizarre sounds. My husband claimed it was squirrels. I must defend him since he was sound asleep when I asked him to listen. :) The next morning we found out we were hearing coyotes calling out to each other. Within walking distance, you’ll find a fun little restaurant by the airport. The food is good and the folks working there, are very friendly and knowledgeable. We are contemplating gliding the next time we stay at this park, and we will be back! We’ve met some of the friendliest people right here at this unique RV park.”

Little Basin

Address: Heartwood Hill, Boulder Creek, CA 95006, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“What a great campsite, ONLY WITH GOOD WEATHER, otherwise we were there during the rain and it was alright but just very went since you're in the redwoods. No one was at the place at all we say 1 car drive by in 24 hours, no hot showers, clean bathrooms and nice campground! Recommend with warmer/sunnier weather.”

Little Basin Concession Group Campground

Address: 21700 Little Basin Rd, Boulder Creek, CA 95006, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“This was an interest spot. We only stayed here because Big Basin was all filled up. And I'm not sure we'd stay here again, but overall this was a fine place to go. The problem is that you have to drive over to Big Basin and pay the day use fee. The campground itself is laid out kind of wonky. More signage would be very helpful. Unfortunately, our campsite was a mudpit. It would have been nice if the camp maintenence folks could have brought in sand or pine boughs or something to make it less muddy. Also, though they said no alcohol was allowed in the campground, the young adults in the group camp area were partying it up - beer bottles plainly evident. Also, the one-way, semi-private road leading to the campground was reminiscent of the movie Deliverance. o_O Despite all that, we did manager to enjoin ourselves. There's actually a lot to do for kids. Since this area was formerly owned by HP and used as a company retreat, there's a Frisbee golf course, tennis courts, basketball courts, kids play area, and more. We did a nice 2 mile hiking loop through the second-growth redwood trees and we got to see tons of banana slugs and salamanders. And the trail connected to all the Big Basin trails so you could go much farther. Your experience may vary, but in a pinch, this was a good camp site. However, book early and stay at Big Basin if you can.”

Costanoa

Address: 2001 Rossi Rd, Pescadero, CA 94060, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Best experience of our entire trip. We went to Universal studios and come back through San Fransisco and stayed here on the way. We will be coming back just to stay here. By the ocean. Lots of trails and absolutely beautiful including amazing location, view and super friendly.”

KOA Petaluma

Address: Stony Point Rd, Petaluma, CA 94952, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“I loved it! The campground was updated and there was lots to do but one of the only things I have any complaint about is the pricing. It seems they just keep going up. Also, more of the weekend activities such as the arts and crafts for the kiddos and the movie nights would be awesome. Other than that the kids had fun.”

San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA

Address: 20 Rainsville Rd, Petaluma, CA 94952, USA

Campground Park Rv park Lodging

“Has a lot of activities (playground, pool, jacuzzi, jump pillow...) that are great for children. Gentle hills that children used to enjoy biking around. We did not use any of these during our two night stay, as we came in after they closed (8 p.m.) from our visits to San Francisco and Muir Woods and Beach. Also, I travelled with a 17 y.o., so jacuzzi and pool were the only thing that would interest us. Bathrooms are well maintained and clean. Beautiful trees and well maintained grass. I would have given a five star review, but our campsite was all on a slope, so we slid down in our tent all through the night. While the trees are good for shade they dropped leaves and debris on our tent and car...and a bird had the audacity to poop on my car..LOL Also, wish there were late hours for adults to jacuzzi and pool, so we could unwind after our days activities.”

Eagle Springs Backpack Camp

Address: Fremont, CA 94539, USA

“Great campsite!”

FamCamp

Address: 201 Travis Ave, Travis AFB, CA 94535, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“We are very happy with this FamCamp. It's conveniently located (walking distance to the School, BX, Class Six, Commissary, Starbucks, Burger King, and Parks). There are lots of trees and the place is clean. Every RV site has a concrete pad. They stay on residents to clean up after pets. It's quiet (with the exception of gate traffic and planes taking off sporadically). I have no complaints. They upped the rate to $22 per night, but still a steal considering it includes water, electric, and free cable. Washers & Dryers available (3 of each). There are also clean community showers & restrooms. They also have a water station to refill 5 gallon jugs of filtered water. Wish we could stay longer than 90 days at a time!”
