“Visit regularly and bathrooms very clean and stocked. Nice ramp you can back up to load and unload your bikes. Nice gazebo over table and fire pits nice for daily or camping. Some don't obey 15mph or helmet laws and rangers will and should give you ticket. It's called being courteous to others in area. Always cooler in summer and can get snow in winter as well as wind. No grass but still nice. Little kid track across street and four wheeling park down road. Trails for all levels from site. Can ride to Frazier Park if you find correct trails.”

“MAGICAL!!! Its a pristine, calm and gorgeous place to visit and stay. We stayed in Cabin #5. One of the most amazing places, we have stayed. Very hard to get a booking. Has a wonderful beach, bench next to cabin to look over Pacific. You can hear the waves thundering in the night. Amazing views of sunset and sunrise. A Must visit place.”

“Great little campground! Much smaller “town” than Avalon. Only 1 store and restaurant/bar. Spots are on a hill. Higher ones more secluded, with panoramic views. Lower ones by water, but more foot traffic. Only boat Catalina Express from Long Beach. Each has a picnic table, fire pit, and metal grill. Snorkeling is a blast. Summer sells out easily. They deliver wood which is nice, because it’s 1/4 mile from stores and dock, so be prepared to carry your stuff over the hill! Review below, to the left and right of picture is the beach 10 steps away, so kind of misleading. Do your research online before you pick your spot. But the company could do a better job of showing you locations and photos of each spot online. The birds and animals are ruthless. Don’t leave your stuff out!”

“Camped here overnight in October. There was logging going on at the first tier of campgrounds. The seconds tier looks nice. There is an open beach shower on a concrete slab, and plenty of potable water. There were big shade trees over most of the camp sites. BJ01 I think, is closest to the Catalina trailhead from Avalon. We would give five stars but the outhouses were pretty stinky and full of flies.”

“One of our favorite hikes in LA (Malibu). Highest point in the Santa Monica Mountains. Make sure you sign the book inside the bust. Best time is towards sunset but you will be hiking down in the dark. Be careful rocky terrain. 1.5 miles from parking lot to top. 3 miles round trip.”

“Great little campground to rest in after cycling from Oakland. $7 To camp at the Hike & Bike Site. Hike and Bike Campground is number 3 which is under the trees and get rain precipitating from the trees at night so bring a good waterproof tent, not a minal coversheet like one poor girl had setup under when I arrived in the dark to discover. It's cold and foggy in the mornings but the sun hits the north western corners of the car park so you can dry out your tent and gear. Rangers were nice helpful and friendly, they tried to help fix a flat on a guy's pickup the next morn. Bike repair station is a great touch for Cyclists.”
