“Federal campground and beach so your day STATE park pass will not work here. 🙄 Place is clean and quiet and beautiful. We love this beach and is worth the $10 entry. Easy access no hiking and beautiful water. Parking is decent but can get full I'm peak times.”

“Boca was a great experience! We stayed at site 16. It had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, perfect distance from the bathroom, and an amazing spot for stargazing! It’s close to the highway, about 5-7 mins. I didn’t have much phone service at the sight with Verizon, but my partner did with AT&T. I definitely recommend for a quick getaway or family vacation!”

“Classic Boy Scout Camp. My son and I were up here for Wolf-Bear Camp. Its a wonderful program and I highly recommend it to Cub Scouts. The ground needs a little pick-me-up so if your Troop is looking for service hours give SFBAC a call.”

“Really quiet place and friendly attendant toilets are way cleaner than the average gas station. Also has wood for sale didn't buy any just saw the sign. We didn't try to get water either but it says it's available.”

“Got lucky and there was a cancelation for a two night stay. We booked it immediately. It is very hard to get a spot with hookups here. I hate the price of gas but it may bring more cancellations. This beach just brings the BP down as soon as you get there. One of my happy places.”

“Very nice place beautiful river Kern River the host Mr. Bob was very very pleasant very informative and helpful hard to find people like that doing great services nowadays. I highly recommend this area there is a day area separated from the overnight area it’s about 30 at night with plumbing water and $12 a day about for your picnic there’s a beach area it is so nice the river is very low Kern river. You can still swim in the river it’s getting a little cold but just down the road from hobo Is the Hot Springs.”

“I love it. I just live down the street from miracle hot springs. Everything is stunning up here except for the trash and graffiti! I'll never understand why anyone could be so uncaring about our planet. Purely ignorant uncaring people.. in the warm weather tourist season you cant see the ground for the toilet paper! Just shameful! But underneath the garbage it's absolutely beautiful! Get there early around 5am on a week day and see for yourself. Just take your trash with you.”

“We wished we could have stayed longer to explore, but this was our home base as we explored LA. It’s newer and well-maintained; clean concrete sites and lots of amenities. As we were heading out there were a lot of families participating in some activities in the commons area. Very cool place with a ton of potential right next to the water. They had a bait and tackle shop and storage for RVs on site. We would love to come back from the east coast again sometime!”

But today the lot was full of RVs lots of cars lots of people it’s truly a new gem in the East Bay regional Park District! Photos soon!”
