“This a response to Susie Lara's post about her experience with our office. The reason for the increase in premium was due to an at fault accident that was found after the policy was bound. This does not happen often but since we have people putting in information at the DMV, it does happen some time, a name can be spelt wrong and we don't pick up an accident. We informed Susie about this and there was really nothing more we could do. Underwriters have very strict rules so that we can maintain low rates for drivers without accidents. We sent out a detailed letter to Susie detailing actions we took. We have a duty to individual clients to make sure they get the best coverage at the best price and the best after sales service. We also have a duty to our policy holders to make sure we keep the rates as low as possible by charging the right amount for each risk. This is what we did in this case.”
