“My partner and I had the most relaxing and fun stay! The rooms are great and the bed is so comfortable and the tiny kitchen was too cute for words. I loved that we could check ourselves in and enjoyed the private little patio and loved that there were bikes and surfboards to rent. The staff also hooked us up with free coffee and donuts in the mornings. The neighborhood is amazing. SO much to see/do within walking distance, live music, the beach, great food and coffee and new eats like a vegan Jewish deli! Felt very California state of mind and just a perfect weekend getaway kinda place. Loved it and hope to return!”

“I come to played cards almost everyday. I loved playing blackjack here. No collection and no busted. The dealers are nice and players were great. I also played paigow tiles. The area is spacious and big TV to watch sports. The reason I gave 4 stars because there was a casino host name Jessica. All she does is shoeshine players and argue with players. There is no needs of her on floor. We had floor persons already. I am going stopping coming here due to her. Toxic environment at tile section because of her.”

“Was there for the wedding of a friend - the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was lovely with lovely bath products and the rain showerhead was awesome. The staff were gracious, friendly and very helpful (helped with maps, walking directions, etc). Food was a generous portion and extremely tasty. Izzy and Dennis were the best bartenders I've ever had and I've been to a few bars in my day! Would definitely stay here again.”

“Breaks my heart to see this amazing place closed. My Uncles started a campout after returning from Vietnam. We've all camped there every Veterans day weekend since. Unfortunately it burned down and all our history with it. This is sacred ground. Hopefully they will rebuild it so we can continue our tradition.”

“Very peaceful and relaxing. Cheap place to camp at night and they have a dock to launch jet skis or boats. Fishing is awesome they have Bass, Crappie, Blue gill and Catfish. They allow any type of dogs without restrictions to barking, they just have to be leashed. I definitely recommend this place really nice. There is tons of birds like Vultures, Cranes, Blu Jays and Hawks. Hunting season also happens here for Turkeys! Lots of things to do and worth the trip. Lots of natural beauty.”

“Staff is super helpful and friendly! I had an issue with my debit card and was offered help by one of the staff members (her name is Sandra and she's so nice!). The laundromat is extremely neat and clean, from the floor to the washers and dryers. There is ample seating and folding space, and working coin machines - although the machines accept cards as well. Parking is a little tight, so be mindful. Anyone looking for a reasonably-priced laundromat should definitely check it out - I know I'll be back!”

“As a female camper, security is always my concern. I was so happy to stay in this pleasant place along the river. The staff were very helpful, the site was right on the riverside and it was very peaceful. My dog loved it here too and everyone seems to be a dog lover that I met. Really enjoyed my stay especially the easy access for my kayak on the river. Will return soon on my way back. “Nice secluded campsite, very scenic and plenty of room for the whole family or group to spread out. The road up is rough, so you should probably be driving an SUV or truck to get here. Four Stars instead of Five because the toilet on site was overdue to be pumped out, so it was quite "ripe". Bummed that no campfires or charcoal were allowed (late July) but I understand. Also, three large bear boxes were provided, so evidently somebody was listening to Mr. Chen's review”

The prices are decent, the entire staff (including housekeepers) is very friendly & welcoming...The ladies will always clean my room the days I stayed here (for a few days almost every week), changed the bedsheets, sanitized the entire room as well as added extra soaps, shampoos, etc. for my daughter & I. BTW, everything is in close proximity/walking distance! There's a lot of places to shop, fast foods, nail shops, BOA, liquor stores, pharmacy, etc.. I highly recommend this hotel! Thanks so much to the receptionists @ the front desk who always accommodate my stays here...I absolutely LOVE the renovation on this place! Can't wait to come back soon!”

“This hotel is a great find! It is close to Hollywood walk of fame and Universal Studios. It is clean, well staffed and reasonably priced. I appreciated the retro Hollywood style decor and their collection of photographs. There is a nice kitchen nook in the room with a microwave and fridge. Bathroom is spacious. There is plenty of free parking. They have a great diner and what looked like a pretty busy bar downstairs. If their mattress didn’t give us back pain, it would have been the perfect stay.”

“My hubby and I stayed last weekend. We explored the Big Bear Village. Had a great lunch in town. Then, set off to our cozy studio. It was perfect. We stayed in #1 Sunday evening. We loved the big jacuzzi tub after a long day. Then, snuggled up to some great shows in bed on Netflix. Slept very well. I loved the kitchenette amenities as it was perfect for our short stay. Only thing missing was the coffee maker. Had all the coffee stuff. Just missed the coffee maker. Lol. Guessing perhaps it was borrowed to another cabin. No biggy though cause we had coffee in town at breakfast. I have recommended this place to people at work already. As the price was awesome for all it offered. Was the perfect romantic get away. “Fantastic stay at a great property. Everything is new, fresh and modern. The staff is well trained, welcoming and very prompt. At most hotels over the past few years, staffing problems have a significant and negative impact on guest experience but they are doing it right and everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. We loved our room and the iconic view of downtown LA. Food was also great both in the restaurants and room service. I was not familiar with the Pendry brand and chose it because it's part of the Preferred Hotel network. They've made a fan out of me and I will definitely be back!”
