“The room was clean, no issues with cleanest. The only issue that I had was that I was unable to turn down the heat in the room. Thank God they placed a fan inside the room and that I was able to open the window. Don't asume that the room is near the checking office. I stayed there because I wanted to be closer to the Hard Rock Casino”

“Beds comfortable and very clean, no pet odor, simple and sufficient accommodations within walk/drive of quaint, clean, hip little beach town. Small, uncovered parking lot along front of perfect vintage, meticulously maintained motel on street, adorned with potted plants. Quiet hours were maintained by all quests. Organized and gracious on sight and phone staff. This is a San Clemente gem at a reasonable price.”

“My grandmother owned this park. I don't know when her n my grandpa bought it. Later after my grandpa died my parents moved us there in 1969 to help my grandma. Back then, there were no trailers, only cabins. My dad n his buddy tore down the cabins n turned it into a trailer park. My grandma sold it sometime in the 70s. In the back corner of the park was a fence that had an opening n everyone would go through the fence n swim in the canal. The water was clean back then n we'd always have peaches to eat from the peach orchard back there.”

“Great little place on the way to the National Parks. The room was small (double queen) but very well maintained and it looks like they were recently refinished. And most importantly the beds were very comfortable. My five year old daughter loved the small pool (note, its surprisingly deep which is fun but also requires more attention with small kids). The rooms included a mini fridge and microwave which both worked well. The sink faucet was a little loose and the shower got plenty warm but not really hot. Nothing I'd mark down for as they both functioned well and were clean. Overall: It's not fancy, but comfortable, well maintained, and perfect for the price! I would absolutely stay here again.”

“I had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It is even more beautiful than the photos. The host was friendly and the check in process was very easy. The cabin was well maintained, very clean, and large enough for 9 of my family and friends. Definitely will stay here again next time I am in Big Bear.”

“We were stunned by this place. The entire area is beautiful, well kept, and truly a remarkable place to be. We spent our 10 year wedding anniversary here in cottage 2 and fell in love with the place. The hosts were extremely friendly and very helpful during the entire process and even through the concerns of the Mosquito fire that was on going. I am very glad I found cedar crest cottages, it will be a regular place for us now. The cottage was stunningly beautiful and clean. Amenities were well thought of and they provided coffee upon our arrival (bag of ground coffee). Definitely some of the best coffee I have ever had. I feel like I could write pages about this place on how amazing it was. It gets 10 stars out of 5.”

“I'm visiting an actor friend of mine who has lived up here for a couple years. I have to say, I couldn't be more jealous of his views. It's way up in the canyon tops, with enormous views of the west valley. Visibility is around ten miles on a clear day. There are several trails that loop around the park itself. Access to the park isn't as difficult as it may seem. There is a winding road that leads up to the park entrance which is gated. Mature trees and scrub brush dot the landscape, providing sanctuary to a variety of canyon wildlife not seen in the valley below. You're likely to hear coyotes at night and owls hooting before dawn. Unique bird calls ring out throughout the sun soaked canyons. This is a place to go to absolutely reset your emotional and spiritual status. To forget about the stress of the city life below. To become whole again. While I do not rent my own home here, my friend that I've stayed with has never complained about the landlords here. The price seems fairly reasonable for a home such as his. If you're considering living here, be aware that lot fees are in the thousands per month. Come check it out, and forget about those awful things going on down below for a while. Pictures have been included.”

“Hotel room were very clean and very nice. Beautiful decor. service was a bit delayed at check in , and we were charged extra which staff has assured to take care of in the next couple of days. God willing that will work out . Breakfast was pricey but delicious. Worth the $ all in all... A good stay”

“A very warm low 80s for end of October! A good campground to overnight or for a couple of days at $28/night. We had FHU on a concrete pad. Everything is gravel or pea gravel and pull throughs. We had CG WiFi, good Verizon, and a bunch of OTA TV channels. During working hours, use the truck gate when you turn off CA 198 at the main gate. Every site has its own garbage can. My only complaint has to do with the check in process. I made the reservation using the toll free number, and the agent couldn't tell me my site number. We tried calling an hour before our arrival, but all we got was the answering machine. So we pulled into the park figuring the MWR folks would tell us at the office. However, there is no office at the campground, and they currently don't have a host. There was no map or directions to tell us where the office is, and no bulletin board or announcement posted as to our site number. We called the MWR number on the welcome sign again, and you guessed it, got the answering machine. Luckily, another camper told us where the MWR office was. We dropped the Jeep and went to the office, and there are 3 ladies there. You think one would be able to answer the phone! I'd say it was a one off situation except the exact same thing happened the next day, except this time I was the guy telling the arrival where to go. Dog park, golf driving range adjacent to campground. McDonald's a short walk away, but drive through only.”

“The room is quite nice, although there is no bathtub. (Only shower) The beds were ok and all the appliances we used were fine. The in-room refrigerator is very small though. There was a nice balcony in the room we got. We stayed here with a spa package. Depending on which package you get it can include wine, cheese/meat board, flowers, or a dining credit in addition to the included spa service. The pool was very nice on the 100+ degree days. There was some shade in the late afternoon so no need for sunscreen past a certain time. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating on a few different occasions. They don't offer sit-down breakfast with the room, but they do provide to-go breakfast bags which can work in a pinch. The location here is either convenient if you are doing something in town, or not convenient if you are not doing something right nearby. Come here to enjoy the spa and pool, and less to visit the nearby area.”
