“Northstar is one of the best ski resorts in Tahoe. Great skiing and snowboarding for all skill levels. Lots of groomers, good tree runs, a slew of terrain parks for beginners to experts, and the backside is fantastic on powder days... but the real reason for this review is the excellent customer service. I lost my wallet this weekend and Bryan from Lost and Found was extremely helpful. Once my wallet was located, Bryan gave me a call to let me know and confirm my address. My wallet was then priority shipped to me the next day free of charge. Amazing!! I am extremely grateful. Thanks North Star for another phenomenal season. I will certainly be renewing my season pass next year.”

“I was in a rehab the second time in my life where I decided to take it seriously with vulnerability and openness. So, one day Shane happened to take us on a tour to check out this sober living and honestly I was quite skeptical because I’ve never been informed of sober living but for some reason Shane not only convinced me but did it in a way where he explained the ins and outs of how they run their program. The love, compassion and grace that the roommates have for each other. A couple weeks later I decided to finally Move in the moment I discharged from rehab which by the way Shane and Zack was beyond kind enough to offer me a ride to go straight here so that I continue my program without any breaks. . Now, I’ve been here for over a month now and I’ve experienced a new family, happiness, compassion, love, these guys are my brothers that I plan on keeping in my life forever. “We enjoyed the location and amenities. The park has good security and is well maintained. Very nice associates. I thought we might hear highway traffic because it's just off of 99, but did not hear a thing! Awoke to beautiful birdsong in the morning. We noticed an odd thing: no rubbish bins. They only do pickups of trash at your location. Docked them 1star because sewer pipe is about 12inches above ground in space 172 where we stayed, which is higher than our RV tank outlet. The pipe did have a side opening stuffed with a rag but wasn't standard diameter so our connector didn't fit there. Meant we had to manually lift our black water hose tube to get stuff to flow down into their sewer and of course it got messy. Crummy start to our day. Why that sewer opening is not flush with ground, I don't know. 😢.”

The place is located close to the sequoia and Kings Canyon National parks, making it ideal to stay if you do not have any reservations in the national Parks (which is hard). Will definitely stay on our way back, which gives us Maximum time to spend in the national park and less driving :)”

“We ended up leaving Lake Minden RV Resort a night earlier than expected. Here's why... The campground was very nice though: big spaces, far from the freeway, clean bathrooms, etc... However, the lake was closed to everyone except the jet boats while we were there. The temperature was over 100*. It was a disappointment to be thought of as not as valuable as the jet boats. I understand that it is a safety is, however, I wonder: did we not pay the same rate as the jet boats? Moral of the story? Ask if ANYTHING is closed while you are going to stay there. Maybe ask for a discount if your purchase is not going to include the full slate of amenities advertised.”

“I stay here every week because I am a student at a college nearby. It really is a good place for the price. The staff is really friendly. And they take their rules very seriously, which is a good thing. Most importantly there is no smoking aloud in the room. I am a smoker myself, but nobody likes a room that smells like smoke. They really do not care if you smoke when you are away from the building, just do not smoke in your room. Seriously. They will keep your deposit”
