“An adventure just getting here, about a mile of dirt roads to get to Hanna Flats from the main road. A beautiful campsite with very large spots to camp at. Hiking trails that lead into a wonderland of site seeing adventures. Plenty of wood lying around for your campfire. Clean bathrooms and fresh water for you to use to clean up and please make sure to put your campfire out before leaving your spot. The Rangers are very friendly and helpful and you can purchase firewood on site. A marvelous safe place for the whole family. I camped out with my grandson and he totally loved it and wanted to know when would we be back.”

“My favorite place to climb in the area. Camping is also very nice and there is no charge. There are compost toilets provided though bring toilet paper because sometimes they run out. Also be sure to bring plenty of water as there is none provided and it is quite a distance to the nearest town.”

“Absolutely unique place, very authentic. Here you can see the mode of life of Russian village, which exists in some places back in Russia even nowadays.”

“Had an interesting tour here. The guides were super nice and it was more than worth the 5 dollars. Would do it again. Also recommend going into the Call house if it’s open.”

“This park is very nice. Lots of friendly dogs. There's a big dog park and a small dog one. My dogs prefer to walk laps around the outside of the dog park where there's a nice little trail.”

“First, a few caveats. Don't walk your dog off leash on the trail; there are coyotes who will separate your dog from you. Secondly, don't leave your dog unattended in the off - leash area. Thirdly, some dog owners (as usual in any dog parks) don't understand the importance of having a well socialized animal and will bring aggressive dogs to the park. All of that in mind, this is my dog's favorite park in the Santa Cruz County area.”

“Small, cute and quiet park. Such a good find since I didn’t know about it. Three different play structures to entertain the little ones. Tennis court and basketball hoop too. Public restrooms and easy parking. Perfect for those days you want to chill on a calmer playground. The park is dog friendly and has picnic tables too.”

“We were here early December for a Christmas tree. It was late, dark and raining, but they were in good spirit and helped us find the right tree for us. It’s more expensive than any other tree lot we’ve been to, but the trees are also much higher quality. We’ll be back next year. Looking forwards to seeing their spring flowers.”

“Who could say anything bad about a trail by the ocean!? We chose the easy 2.5 ml hike to accommodate some physical restrictions in our group. It was perfect. There are two other hikes, medium and difficult. Just look on the website for details. Views are amazing. Access to some cool beaches. Birds above. Life in the water below. It is a perfect local place to get your body moving. I also feel the easy hike could accommodate a stroller with large terrain wheels. There are cliff edges so small kids not a good idea. Carry, backpack or stroller.”

“This beach is secluded. Footpath to the beach below is pretty narrow. However, it's a nice and clean beach.”

“Still the greatest theme or in California to take small children to or children, even adults, with special needs. my daughter is mentally impaired with cerebral palsy. She loves the rides here at the park. Not too fast and not too scary. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The trees and the gardens are beautiful. You can hardly see the park for all the trees and gardens when riding the train around the perimeter. The rides are geared to small children up to about the age of 10. One roller coaster is very much for beginners and the other is a more thrilling. Everybody has a smile on his or her face. It's just a great place to be.”

“We really liked it!!! Only had one night and didnt want to stay in the city and this was far from it. Close to the coast, had dinner in town, felt like a NorCal experience in the woods and small town. The Airstream was a good size, lots of space, bed was really comfortable. We would stay again”
