“This is the best park in the entire area. It's especially scenic with amazing views of crafton hills and the Mountains. It has so many trees, making it a cool park for kids during summer. 3 different playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball, basketball an amphitheater, covered shelters & tables. The community Center is adjacent to the park which can be convenient. Always the perfect spot to take the kids!”

“We have been hiking in Children's Forest for years, and it never fails to please all, children and adults alike. The trails are easy to hike, bushes are kept back so they don't encroach on the hiking path (important when you have small kiddos running at breakneck speed, giggling hysterically and happily breathing in the fresh air!). The forest has grown back beautifully strong since the fire years ago, the Manzanita is thick and growing tall, the vistas are gorgeous, and even on a hot day like today, the breeze is usually blowing and there is shade available with cool, smooth rocks to sit on when someone needs a break. There are bathrooms and a drinking fountain at the trail head to utilize prior to your hike, and several picnic taes scattered around the parking lot for a quick lunch or snack. Parking is close to the trail head and plentiful, and there are signs stating that an adventure pass is needed for vehicles making use of the area. Trails meander gently and are neither difficult nor too long for any ability, and it is paved, though roughly, and you could probably get a powered wheelchair over most of it with a good battery, or strong arms for a manual wheelchair. We often see strollers on the path as we pass folks, and when our boys were small we hiked with them in the baby backpack comfortably all over the area. There is a small reservoir you can see and take pictures and see off in the distance, and several benches to sit on if you choose to not utilize the many rocks. We were pleased to not see trash or graffiti, as so frequently idiots forget to clean up after themselves - such a treat to hike in a clean forest! I would highly recommend it for any age, kids or adults.”

“Went camping this April with my best bud and loved the size of the grounds. Not a lot of trees around due to recent fires but firemen sure did a great job keeping the trees on the camp grounds. Will frequent this one for sure!”

“It's directly behind the parking of Cabrillo College. So weekends and evenings are best. It's not the longest of hikes maybe 1 mile , but there are branched trails that are only loops back to original trail. Dogs need to be leashed like everywhere I. This area. I let my dog walk off leash with no issue. It is a great short walk. With wonderful views.”

“This park has enough space for everyone to play, including my bunny rabbits which is great because I tend to keep them away from the dogs. There's always a spot on the fields for them to run around, and everyone who goes here is super nice to them. There's even hiking trails here! I grew up at this park and would highly recommend it.”

“Not bad, a little muddy I'm some spots due to weather, but let me get my dogs some off leash exercise. The people that came were all nice and cooperative. Was a great hour and a half, easy access from parking on street.”

“Beautiful spot!! Back in 1986 I got married (there use to be a clubhouse) in front of the building overlooking the whole Monterey Bay. It has a spectacular view and it turned out to be a lovely day. It was my choice, out of the extensive venues available in the Santa Cruz county area, because 4 years before (my wedding) I had attended 2 breathtaking weddings at this location and I vowed that if/when I was going to get married I wanted to have it right there overlooking that splendid view of the bay.”

“One of my favorite pieces of earth! Been coming here for about 18+ years, and have shared with hundreds of friends And family!! I've seen whales, dolphins, sharks and pet a wild sea lion here. Today, i had the whole beach and coast all too myself in 75 degree weather! Beautiful beach to relax or run the coast from.”
