“This is my second time camping at River Run and I love it here. We had campsite 37, and although it was small, it worked for two people and provided an excellent view of the river. The employees were all very accommodating and the store had a good amount of items (condiments, logs, ice, beer, and food). I know people were complaining about no wifi, but we had it at our campsite. It was of course packed on Labor Day, but the day after was almost completely empty and it was awesome!”

“This park is definitely “undercover”. There are no picnic tables, restrooms, parking lots or playing fields. There is only a small sign noting that it’s a park at all, and that sign is on a local residential road! In fact, many of the neighbors here don’t realize it’s a park either. So what is there is an area fronting along Rincon Creek covered with Douglas-fir, eucalyptus, tanoak, pepperwood, poison oak and coyote brush. There are some home-made trails going through the area that offers a quiet walk through this small park. It reminds me most of open fields that I played in as a boy. So, if you are looking for a solitary place to bird-watch or reflect, this may work just fine for you.”

“One of the best parks for dogs in Santa Rosa that I know of is here. They have a water feature which looks nicer when it's raining. Great place for a picnic. Located by a library which is nice too. Good for a walk, good to take the kids, play baseball, throw a football or baseball, play tag, etc. Great place to relax. Some nice looking trees too.”

“It's got bathrooms, shade, lots of different play options, and is immersed amongst large trees. Can't get much better in my book. A little hard to find - my gps sent me to the opposite side. But once we found it (past the baseball fields), we were good.”

Moore Creek Park

Park

“The hiking from the Moore Creek parking area is varied and has something for everyone. The parking are has room for 30+ cars and we have never had an issue parking. Moore Creek is adjacent to the trails from the start. The initial hike is a hike up hill, and then you have a choice to either continue on or loop back via Valentine Vista trail which offers more climbing on single track. If you go straight, you can continue until you reach some swimming pools at which point you can now connect through to Los Posados State Forest, allowing for a significant hike if you are so inclined. None of the hiking is easy, I would say moderate for most of it. None is super steep, it's more just lots of rolling up and down.”

“Great park. Great Location. I was visiting my daughter who lives at the park and I can't believe how it's grown and changed since my daughter moved in over a year ago. To be honest I didn't want her to stay at that park because it had a shady reputation and it didn't feel safe and secure. I am so happy to see all the changes that have been made since Janice came on board. She is a delight and very personable. She has great insight and I like the things she's done. I feel that park has done a complete 180. Good work Janice. Great work Cascade/Rio VIsta Park”

There are 3 big pavilions that can be reserved for parties and 2 smaller ones that are first come first serve. There are a lot of other picnic tables and big grass areas. There is also a great turf ball field where you can play soccer, flag football and baseball. There is a small walking trail too. There are a few I've cream trucks that stop in the parking lot which the kids love.”

Cottonwood Three County Park

“It's the only park that's has not been taken over by the homeless and scum. Today parks are a total waste of time for kids and dogs and have all been taken over. It's time to take our parks back. It's not fair that kids and families can't go to a park and feel safe anymore. I vote on getting all homeless out of parks.”
