“This is by far my favorite hiking spot in San Diego. I've been here several times, early morning and night hikes, but mostly I love the late afternoon/evening. Beautiful views and foliage all around. The trail is well trafficked even on weekdays, but everyone is always friendly, the trails are well-maintained. If you decide to go later in the day, I recommend a flashlight and a light jacket, it can get chilly. A good get away from concrete and city life.”

Across the way is a sport field with an active amateur baseball presence on weekend mornings. Both sides of the park have well-maintained public restrooms. Picnic areas.
