“Beautiful SD beach. Long sandy beaches, train tracks behind you and waves in from. Full of ambient noises from both sides. Super peaceful and gorgeous. Lots of places to post up as it is so big it never gets too crowded. Add it to your list of beach goals and enjoy!”

“A great place to hangout with friends. A great place to relax after walking along the beach. Several families and youth were enjoying picnics, socializing and playing a small game of volleyball. Great views and well maintained. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. parking is always a problem. the farther away you park; the easier it is. best thing to do, is to drive up to the park, drop off all of your items, and then park farther away...There’s Also A playground for the kids overlooking the ocean probably the most beautiful playground in the whole wide world. parking is always a problem. the farther away you park; the easier it is. best thing to do, is to drive up to the park, drop off all of your items, and then park farther away...There’s Also A playground for the kids overlooking the ocean probably the most beautiful playground in the whole wide world. “Black Mountain Ranch Park is virtually litter free and clean. Thank you to the custodial staff and others who pick up after themselves! I enjoy sitting under the trees. There are plenty of them to keep you shaded on a really hot day. Around 1:30pm and for the next 2 hours, there are very few people. It was a Monday so that explains the low crowds. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, please help us! There will always be people doing evil. Please stay the hand of your One, Only Begotten Son. Now, it appears that most of society celebrates the denial of sin and we are progressing to destruction when leaders in the church call evil good and good evil! Ave Maria, gratia plena! Ever-Virgin Most Powerful, triumph and reign!”

“A nice fairly flat walk under oak trees that's easy to get to, a few rocky spots to cross. Lots of cyclists on trails during weekends, week days are quieter. Beautiful during rainy season.”

“I love coming to lake Hodges to walk my dogs, take a quick hike or just unwind. It's always beautiful no matter the day or weather conditions so you'll never be disappointed. There are also plenty of mountain biking trails for those who are interested. During the winter months the lake is "closed" but you can just park on the street and walk in. Lake Hodges is open to fishing and boating during the summer months.”

“Absolutely gorgeous area with phenomenal views all the way up. Not an easy hike on account of how steep the trail is; make sure you're wearing good shoes that fit well, otherwise on the way down your toes will be toast! 1.5 miles up from the trailhead off of Del Dios hikers arrive at a sign indicating the crossing-over point into the Olivenhain Reserve, as other reviewers have mentioned. I'm looking forward to going further than this (turned around at this point due to impending rain), as there are clearly many trails to explore in several directions across these reserves.”
