“Mt. Soledad is a great place for me to go when I want to Praise and Worship God, pay silent Honor to the men and women of our military. Or just simply sit back and reflect on life. The view can humble you as you stand on the mountaintop and look out over the ocean until it meets the sky. It's an amazing reality check for me.”

“Very small dog park. But very beautiful. It is a little lonely so it is definitely a good place for training.”

“Shepherd Canyon is in Tierrasanta of San Diego. When youre near the hiking trail, you can park on the sidewalk or inside the parking lot of a church, whichever waypoint you're at of the hiking trail. The scenery is beautiful. It has lots of plants, rabbits, frogs are croaking, and the trail is soft and smooth on your feet. The trail is really short so, it's easy for beginners. There is no restroom unless, the church that I mentioned earlier might have a restroom. Unfortunately, there are no post signs of where or how far you've gone on your hike like you've reached 1 mile. This was my first time, but I don't believe there are many people who walk this trail.”

“A very nice, peaceful place. It is well maintained and usually not crowded. The jogging -cycling path is long if you go all the way to the end. It does not loop, you must return on the same path. Bring water, powerade or whatever. It was quite warm today.”

“Specially love this park during spring season with these jacaranda trees in bloom. Went here last week for a walk to make the time worth after a 30 minutes drive planning to attend the Ascension Sunday mass, and it's always nice to come back and take a walk here. It was just few minutes away where we used to live years ago. People here are friendly too. There are benches and play area for kids with a swing but wish there is also a restroom here.”

“Great place to enjoy the great outdoors. The top part of the mountain offers spectacular views of San Diego. There is a 360 degree view of the city from the top. Typically, this three mile round trip hike will take 1.5 hours, but can take as little as 45 minutes for a highly active hiker (it took me 18 minutes to return to the entrance from the summit).”

“Not a bad way to access the park. You can follow the signs around to Shepherd's Pond and from there get to the summit of north Fortuna Mt. Also many other trails branch off. Lots of flowers right now. It's a bit of a climb to the summit though.”

“The last 25 times I've gone to Mission Trails this is where I've parked. It's a clean little lot with a central corral, multiple lots for parking trailers, etc. if needed. Great place to disembark on your hike or ride especially if you have children along. The trails immediately nearby are nice. Also, you're even closer to the main trails than if you were to park in the South end off of Junipero Serra Trl.”

“This is a nice little campground, with bathrooms and showers. The sites are spacious and not stacked on each other. The most important reason to use this campground is you will be located in the midst of some great hiking trails.”

“I've lived in this city for 20yrs and used on and off many of their services. This park has improved over the decade by installing public use exercise equipment. Improved outdoor basketball courts and playgrounds jungle gym. While the main building facility is is under renovation, they've provided portable school size buildings for temporary use for activities. Enjoy using the park for exercising and power walks.”
