“This park is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing time. It provides great seating under shaded areas for parents and guardians looking to keep a close eye on their children. There are two play areas, one for 3-5 years of age, and another area for 6 years and up. There are plenty of fun activities to play on, slide down, and climb on. There is a large grassy field area for ball playing and other large planned events. A nice cement path wraps around the entire park for a relaxing walk and bench / tabled areas sit on the outskirts of the younger play area. There is even a half basketball court with one hoop for anyone looking to ball out. My favorite part is the location, which takes place in a very quiet neighborhood with seemingly older residents, which means park upkeep is on the top priority list for the city. I thoroughly enjoy this park and my kids have tons of fun. I've also been to planned events at this park and I never felt like the area was too small to support large parties of 50-80 people. “It is VERY windy/cold! Bring something to protect your ears and dress your kiddos warmly! I wish I'd come better prepared for our cub scout hike, but it was a GREAT experience otherwise. Such incredible creatures and native plants I never knew even existed are here. The Docents are very knowledgeable. Please don't let your kids trample and "beat" the plants as I saw some were doing in our group!!!!”
