“Monkey puzzle is very fun climb up to the ridge. From the top you have several routes back down to Scott Canyon. Monkey puzzle is considered a climbing Trail, although honey slow day it's very fun to descend as well. It has been redirected halfway up with a Improvement the keeps the grade consistent. Thanks to all the people that maintain these wonderful trails!”

“The park was a nice find. My sons and I were looking for a place to play basketball. My youngest found this suggestion in a search. The park was clean, not too busy and just had a nice vibe. The court is right by some railroad tracks but they're separated by fencing and my boys got a kick out of them anyway.”

“Good place to stay, it feels like a nice little neighborhood, behind secured gate no worries about outside interference, I'm not worried about my truck and it's been stolen it has already happened once California. If they had a pool or hot tub five star”

“Didn't hike far. Soon as you enter climb the hill trail and you will see a waterfall to your left coming out of a rock face. From the high vantage point you will also see your trail options and get a feel for the area. Very beautiful out here.”

“Spring has sprung, if your looking for pops of color and a good solid trail look no further, this trail has it all. Our first time here and loved it. The views are priceless, free parking. They do except donations but not Mandatory. Dogs are allowed. Poppies are in full bloom along the trail, shoots of purple and pink flowers, creek running into ocean. Trail is approximately 2 miles round trip.”

“Cool area, parking as far as I can tell is in a turn out area on the road a little south of where Google maps says the park is, it looks like it's private property but it has some good views”

“Turn-around point when hiking up the mountainside via the Kennedy Trail. Beautiful vistas along the way, but the top of the mountain itself a bit of a let down. Really just a dead end PG&E trail used to service the high tension electrical towers that run along top the ridge. Nice view uphill to Mt. Umunhum.”

“Hiked from Kennedy Rd trail head to Mount Um. Trail conditions were good. It is a rigorous 15 miles (one way) with appreciable elevation gain. Bring snacks and a lot of water. It is fairly exposed for much of the trail until Woods and the Mt Um portion of the trail. Spectacular views along the way. If you don't want to hike all the way to Um, you can join Priest Rock or Lime Kiln trails or just hike up to the top where Priest Rock intersects and back (from Kennedy). Lots of options. You can hike from Alma Bridge road as well. Hike as long or short as you like. Bikes share the trails. One of my favorite local trail system.”

“Beautiful, so peaceful and calm and surprisingly quiet, although that could have been because of being late April during the week, not quite peak tourst season I suppose. Regardless, I've been coming to this area my whole life for peave and calm and it always delivers.”

“Excellent park that is not too crowded. Two parking entrances on both sides of the park, bathroom facilities, and great views. The lower part of the park is filled with pretty oak trees and a great amount of shade. A good amount of wildlife (woodpeckers, squirrels, rabbits with the chance of seeing even more!) and lovely wildflowers.”

“Very nice, open park with plenty of beautiful trees and two tennis courts. There's no track or dirt road for jogging so it might be a bit hard on the knees but overall a great relaxing place to take a walk or jog or play some tennis.”
