“Open grass, swings, slides and structers that are maintained decently, many people from around the area use it for their birthday events, actually multiple events at once, to give you an idea of space. Its also has a view of hayward all the way to sf. Bathrooms, and community classes in the evening, and parking. this is one of the better parks in hayward for sure if not for a party, just to visit.”

“Beautiful, no dogs allowed even on leash. I understand why, but was sad to not be able to take my pup for a walk in the tidal marshlands. That being said - it’s awesome for bird watching and there were kayakers out there, so I think it is probably a pretty awesome place!”

“This is a great local trailhead, particularly beautiful in the fall when the leaves change. Come back in winter when the creek is flowing. There are plenty of mushrooms and swapmy creatures like salamanders that one can find if they're keeping their eyes peeled. A lot of kids come here to drink and smoke pot, often evident by leftover booze or candy wrappers, but for the most part it's serene and mostly clean. There are mutiple different paths you can take, ranging from very minor elevation to some pretty steep areas. If you stick to the main trail it's a pretty easy romp through the woods. The higher you climb in elevation, the better the view, obviously. A hidden gem.”

Address: Bay Area Ridge Trail, Vallejo, CA 94591, USA
“A nice short trail, It has a few switchbacks but nothing that strenuous. I wanna say it's around 2.5 miles one way if you stay on the trail, so a 5 mile ish loop. You're pretty much behind people houses the whole time but when you get to the top, the view ain't bad. Knocked it one star because some houses don't have a fence behind them but have dogs that give you a nice scare.”

“Solitude and clean air made up for the 25 degree early morning temp. Very clean. Toilets adequate. Cold camping requirement meant no wood burning so contact forest service to confirm fire restrictions before making the trip.”
