“They have done alot of renovation to thw center of the park. -New individual unisex bathroom stalls. -New play structure for the toddler's with interactive light up games. -Redesigne of the creek thats infront of the parking space with alot new greenery gow ever it attract tons of skunks, raccoons moles and more. * The highlight is the lay out of lumber (not sure if its entirely read rood) bordering the walking paths and restricted areas through out the park What they gave kept the same is -The pool from what is visable, havent swam there in awhile so im not sure if they remodeled the locker/shower rooms -Play structures that are near the trails -the picnic and BBQ area's. Which are usually first come first serve unless ya plan ahead and make reservations.”

“The baseball diamond is excellent. I only take away the star because the basketball court isn't fenced in and the rims are far too stiff. Great park though.”

“Technically not a park, the Civic Center Plaza nonetheless functions as one. It has plentiful features, is an enjoyable place to "just hang out" and is great for people watching!”

“Great place to do some trail running drills, just watch for dog bombs. There are clear No Dogs signs, but everyone we saw there was a dog walker with 4+ dogs, they didn't pick up their poop. Seriously guys, dont be a dog walker at the park if you're not gonna clean up after them. That's like your one job.”

“The jungle gyms are huge ! 2 sets of jungle gyms on each side. 2 swings area. There is a sand box and and the floor has a soft cushion but its covered in all the sand. Theres alot of obstacle courses on the big jungle gym with 4 slides. Very spacious and wider to go through it. One gym has a toddler size gym. A basketball court and tennis courts. 2 picnic tables with 1 bbq grill and trash cans. Tons of benches and seating areas facing the playgrounds. Good to have events here. Nice quiet family friendly neighborhood here. And its gated ! Come here all the time and I love it here for parents and children!”

“I had nonidea that this was called siesta valley, i have been coming here for nearly 40 years and I do have to figure the reason for the name is because EBMUD employees and regional park fire and police come to nap here. Yes, I have seen them many a time sleeping on our dime but didn't know they named the valley after it..”

“Be careful of the drop off from the paved road, it has some pretty deep holes that have the potential to do some serious suspension damage to a low sitting vehicle. Parking space seems to always be limited, as most don't seem to understand how to park and not take the space of two or more cars. That said, if you can find space the view is worth it!”

“This hike is pretty nice. If you want to go for a good long hike you can walk from this trail around the the falls and back. It's almost 5 miles and is really fun. The parking is good here too. There's plenty in the lot and you can park on the street if you need to.”

“This Campground was a dream! The grounds have Porta-Potty bathrooms near each section and there is a grill over the fire pits for each camp site as well as a secure metal box to keep food locked and protected from animals. Bison cross through here as well as deer which is beautiful and amazing to see! The communication about what is available was the reason I put 4 stars instead of 5. I had never been to Catalina before much less to this campsite. Myself as well as to others from my party called the office to ask questions about the availability of renting equipment as well as renting a stove and getting firewood Etc we were told that we could rent different things on site. However, when we arrived and went to the trailer to talk with the ranger, he apologized profusely saying that the only thing we are able to get there is the bundles of firewood. He was so apologetic over the miscommunication that he gave us his personal stove and Propane for us to use. I would definitely Camp here again and just know I know what is available and what is not. Bring all of your own stuff and if you need anything you can call ahead and let them know, and pay over the phone and they will deliver it to your campsite before you get there. The only thing that you can purchase on site is the firewood bundles. The water is so clear it's amazing and beautiful. I kept thinking I was in a different country! There's so many different hiking options beautiful! I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again!”
