“MAGICAL!!! Its a pristine, calm and gorgeous place to visit and stay. We stayed in Cabin #5. One of the most amazing places, we have stayed. Very hard to get a booking. Has a wonderful beach, bench next to cabin to look over Pacific. You can hear the waves thundering in the night. Amazing views of sunset and sunrise. A Must visit place.”

“My kids love this park! It's kind of hidden, but totally worth the drive! They have a great shaded picnic area, basketball court and soccer field. The only thing it's missing is a bathroom. There is a temporary one, but I would use it only in case of emergency.”

“Beautiful, well maintained trails, beautiful flowers and water features and awesome views. Come alone with a book or a journal and enjoy the peace and quiet in one of the many benches or bring the family and enjoy the kid areas. Two downsides... Parking is limited and they're only open during the week.”

“I love Tilden. We're so lucky to have the amazing Tilden/Regional Redwood/Chabot park system in the Easy Bay. Amazingly network of beautiful, varied and well kept trails for running hiking and biking. Really fun activities for younger kids - a working little farm carousel and best of all, miniature steam train! Which my kids love, especially the two tunnels and admiring the engine post-ride. Magical place to reground with nature ????”

“The only public bathrooms in Oakland open all day; they're well-maintained by staff...hopefully the people who use (and need) them the most, will continue doing their part so that this valuable resource isn't lost for all.”

“Wandering the leafy paths lined with living curiosities is pure tranquility! The gardens are replete with birds, newts, ponds, streams, all manner of trees, shrubs, vines, and some grand views with benches for restful contemplation. The very welcoming vibe isn't marred by too much educational structure. Guests are mostly left to themselves, with the option of joining regular guided tours.”

“Great little campground! Much smaller “town” than Avalon. Only 1 store and restaurant/bar. Spots are on a hill. Higher ones more secluded, with panoramic views. Lower ones by water, but more foot traffic. Only boat Catalina Express from Long Beach. Each has a picnic table, fire pit, and metal grill. Snorkeling is a blast. Summer sells out easily. They deliver wood which is nice, because it’s 1/4 mile from stores and dock, so be prepared to carry your stuff over the hill! Review below, to the left and right of picture is the beach 10 steps away, so kind of misleading. Do your research online before you pick your spot. But the company could do a better job of showing you locations and photos of each spot online. The birds and animals are ruthless. Don’t leave your stuff out!”
