“There has only been one time I can remember not being able to park and enjoy the view of the Bay. I have not attempted to fish from the shoreline here, probably because I have seen a few people fishing and they appeared to be frustrated mostly because they were losing their tackle and bait to the rocks that are scattered along the shoreline protecting erosion. Which is a necessity in my opinion. So, if you want to fish go down the shoreline a little farther and cast off from the Sandy Beach . Best wishes. The northern parking lot now has a fence barrier for construction underway on the Bay trail project so no more access to the trail and dog park from Gilman. You must use Albany entrance to access the shoreline/dog park. Happy travels.”

“Cute little park with a large grass lawn and some structures set in sand. Play structures are more geared to younger children. There is a partial fence around the play areas, but kids can run out really easily so be observant of the younger kids. There isn't much seating for parents, but the lip around the sand is high enough to sit comfortably. There are no bike racks that I noticed.”

“Great plane spotting place. A great view of all the landings and takeoffs. Also a great place to exercise or just admire the view. There is exercise equipment near the Marriott hotel. The parking is very limited though. But it is worth the wait. Also, when you walk farther north there is barbed wire separating your view on Runways 1R/1L. But everything else is great.”

“The pottery is well organized. The staff is very attentive and helpful. They have a standard inventory, mostly from Vietnam, good selection of sizes and colors. But it’s the small percentage of unique pots that always attracts me. It’s so satisfying to build a collection that is rich in color, texture and shape, weather it’s a contemporary look, rustic or something else. Pots, fountains, and statuary. I like the prices.”
