“Naming it a "park" is such an understatement. Not only is it a beautiful park, but it is the heart and soul of Glendale with its library and gallery. You can visit the doctor's house, which is a Victorian style home with a beautiful garden and Japanese guest house and pond. The main building with a Moroccan(I think) style architecture is very grand and beautiful sitting at the top of a hill.”

“Awesome hiking trail! But it's more on the difficult side, steep incline. The duns more creek trail is easier, and is a mile long each way. We went on a really hot day, though we started early. Recommend a lot of water and have a set mind of doing the full 8-9 miles. Definitely gets you going though! Will be doing this one again.”

“Grew up just down the street from this park. I remember when it didn't have any trees and it was pretty much always empty. Back then we were the only family that went there for Easter and many Birthday parties, this was long before reservations were needed and they began charging. Still enjoy walking my dog there though, it's still very peaceful and right behind the police station which gives it more sense of security.”

Valley Village Park

Lacy Park

Address: 1485 Virginia Rd, San Marino, CA 91108, USA

Park

“I have enjoyed this park again since I was a child. It is very large with all sorts of different things to do and Fields and playgrounds. I remember even coming to camp at this park when I was a child and you could never be bored going to the same park even three times in one week because there was so much to do! I haven't been there recently but they used to have things like an old fire truck that you could play in either way they always make sure that their play areas have really fun things with a lot of variety. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because that it is so large and if unattended a child could get lost or something but it is in a very safe area in a very wonderful community and it's very well kept”

Kenneth Hahn Lower Park

Address: Los Angeles, CA 90008, USA

Park

“I love this place. I stayed coming here with my son when he was an infant. It is an especially great spot for mothers with babies and toddlers. There are places to go and things to see. I love that I can bring my son, who's three, to a pond! There's a creek and a man made waterfall too, bonus points. There are different kinds of ducks there, a few geese, turtles, fish, squirrels, and so on. You WILL see animals every time, which is a real great experience for children. There are picnic tables scattered throughout with shade, a big plus. Half of the park is shady most of the time, especially in the first half of the day. This is great for kids too. You can fish here during certain seasons and you can also keep some of the fish to eat. There are bass and I think possibly catfish. They stock it annually I believe. You can probably find out more on their website. There are playground across the driveway, multiple structures, so kids love that. Just remember to clean up, please! A lot of families come here to see the wildlife, but not the plastic cups and napkins and whatnot that collect in the pond or the river sometimes.”
