Elk Grove Multi Use Trail

Address: 9950 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95624, USA

Park

“Best walking/biking trail in the city limits. Regularly see Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets. Cormorants, Canadian Honkers, Mallards and Wood Ducks. Almost always spot turtles sunning themselves. Saw a beaver once in the winter. Usually has some other humans enjoying the trail, but it never feels overly crowded. Weekday mornings are definitely the time to go.”

We always had a blast. We have had multiple birthdays parties here and us parents would always plan some cool end of the school year party for our kids group and basically anyone who wanted go join us which was always a lot of other children. We love this place. I love this place! It's clean, safe and lots of fun for everyone including your pets who have tons of grass to play tag on with the kids. Our dog always had so much fun playing with the kids here and it was always a good way to wear down some of their natural energy! I highly recommend this place for family's big, small, your or not!”

According to some other hikers once you get higher up the path it isn’t so well maintained. Maybe next time. And don’t forget your adventure pass or $5.00 cash. Luckily we met some really cool people in the parking lot that let us borrow cash. We repaid him via Venmo 😉”

“This is a VERY special place that is full of beauty and love! My daughter and I stumbled on this place. We were driving by and saw a sea of roses!!! We asked if we could look at them, and it turns out it is a labor of love for the public to enjoy. Doesn't the world need more lovely people like that? :) No one is making you pray, in case anyone is wondering. ;) But you will be feeding your Soul whether you mean to or not. This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The photos don't do it justice. The owner kindly offered that people can cut ONE rose to take home. You can look up their Facebook to see more if you like. He also has a lending library, which is fantastic. I just realized that I never did this review. We visited way back in June of 2020. But we drove past today and it all looks as amazing as ever. Thanks for sharing this beautiful place with us! You are making the world a better place!”

It’s close to the highway, about 5-7 mins. I didn’t have much phone service at the sight with Verizon, but my partner did with AT&T. I definitely recommend for a quick getaway or family vacation!”

Sugarloaf National Recreation Trail 2E18

Address: 2196 Wildhorse Meadows Rd, Big Bear, CA 92314, USA

Park

“Strenuous but beautiful hike. Road to trailhead parking is really bad. Looks like the flash floods damage it but is passable. I wouldn't recommend low profile vehicles to try to make it through. Low profile vehicles maybe should park at Hatchery and the 38 at the entrance. This hike starts at a slow incline and will get your heart rate going. Your breaks are when trail goes down and then you must go up again. I recommend hiking poles for the down hill back down. Hardest switchbacks are a mile before you summit. Great time to catch your breath and hydrate. Views are beautiful from every corner. Old Greyback looks stunning from many places on your way up. Watch out for falling trees. Yesterday 9-4-22 the trail was clear on the way up. On the way down, half a mile before the trailhead, an old tree fell and was now blocking the trail. Had to hop over it. If you're looking for a challenging hike and solitude, this is the hike. Carry plenty of water on this hot days. The flow of the creek at the beginning of the hike is low.”

Michael Faklis Park

Address: 5250 Cosumnes Dr, Stockton, CA 95219, USA

“Love the green grass but this park is busy. Great trail in the back of the park. If you want a quiet run, this isn't the place. Highly busy all day”

Burlingame Dog Exercise Park

Address: 1125 Airport Blvd., Burlingame, CA 94010, USA

Park

“We had a good visit tonight! All the humans were friendly and the dogs were ready to play!! There was minimal litter, the garbage cans weren't overflowing, and there were poop bags available if we needed them! I love that there's a small dog area for my 12lb girl who is sometimes shy around big dogs.”
